Boy! The Guardian? From what I've read of your posts I thought you were a ring wing fanboy. But the Guardian!? That's too liberal even by my standards. Seems my first impressions of you were wrong Miyi.

^Is that sarcasm?

yes, I read from all angles. There's so many false information, and it's coming from both sides. I won't lie to you.

But I am naturally right-leaning, and so my posts reflect that, quite obviously.

update:

I've added Robinson and Long to the list.

No its not sarcasm. Some of those sites I wasn't surprised to see. But for me the Guardians Leftist bias is way too much for me to trust their ability for balanced reporting that all. Sorry if my post caused offence

When I want to get my politics fix, I watch CSPAN. I like to see the candidates without the media filter. The thing I love about CSPAN so much is that they aren't worried about ratings, so they don't have to sensationalize trivial issues like the networks do.

I'd like to see The Economist be mentioned, when "news" publications like the Sun and the New York Post are being mentioned.

news.com.au, for all the latest news from Australia. Plus it's got some world reports as well.

Huffington Post is a wonderful news site, it is very liberal, not the best site for unbiased news but great for opinion. A lot of great minds from doctors to senators to pundits post there. Mother Jones is similar but with fewer posts by politicians. The Economist is a great site for good old fashioned reporting.

I second HuffingtonPost's site. I use it the most. I also like TalkingPointsMemo granted it's going to be quite biased :hurr

ONTD_Political is a flagship of Livejournal's ohnotheydidnt community. They compile news sources from various sites and gather them in one place. The comments are worth reading as well. :)

http://newsmap.jp is a rather useful tool when you don't have the time to browse several news sites, but still want to get an overview. The colours make it easy to distinguish diffrent categories (bottom right) and on the top you can pick a country - and with it a language - for the news to appear in.

I've recently started reading Vox, an interesting, liberal leaning news website. Recommended for anyone interested in relevant, "beyond the headlines" stories.

I look at a lot of news sites but the ones I really rely on are Truthdig and The Real News. Very left-wing.

My other favorite is Project-Syndacite, an opinion website featuring editorials from established figures in the spheres of politics, business, economics, and foreign affairs. Bill Gates, Jeffery Sachs, Michael Spence, and Christopher R. Hill have all contributed new articles this week.

Rocket News is a great place to find Japanese ephemera, including, but not limited to, anime news.

Just found this little gem: heatmapnews which can be helpful to visualize geopolitics if you don't have the geography in mind anyway.
