Discussion Schierke and Guts?

What is going on here? I often bring this topic up, I want to have a more in depth discussion about it. What does Guts mean to her? The blushing, the connecting? It's all too much to just ignore as "friendship", what exactly does she feel? What kind of relationship does she think they have? For the most part Guts sees her as a friend and other things are unnoticed to him.

Miura had the original "love triangle" and shipping only in the realm of Guts/Caska/Griffith, how is he expanding the romance and other types of "love" themes in Berserk and more specifically Guts and Schierke?

Didn't she say to that Griffith fangirl(forgot her name) that she loves him because he is kind or something? And Farnese loves him too, she is even jealous of Casca.

I don't know what he is planning to do with them, it depends on what will happen to Casca... But at this point, Casca can never love Griffith.

The age difference makes it weird. If she just saw him as a father figure, she wouldn't feel jealous of Caska, which makes me think that it's more than that. It's a childhood crush I guess, and I hope it will pass and evolve to something like friendship instead. Also Guts and Schierke's relationship is a parallel to Flora Skullknight's relationship.I think that Flora also had feelings for SK when he was still human(I don't know what he is now) but since he was walking a path of destruction like Guts it never got to the point that they may have become lovers.SK really cared for Flora as a friend, and I think it's the same for Guts towards Schierke.
Miura should make an arc about SK, or a gaiden series.

Well, to be fair Miura has showed "sexually suggestive" content involving Guts and Schierke, it can be for momentary fan service, but he makes her so involved in it, the connection could just be "spiritual" and she can have her feelings when she is with him in that way. As far as real contact or even waiting for her to grow up so there can be a love relationship on the normal level, I think not. So yeah, maybe Miura is giving her the pleasure on a different level.

I hope it wasn't for fan service, but more to depict a spiritual relationship. Then again the fanservicey baths scene this chapter with another way underaged girl, Erica, means it could just be fanservice. Which is incredibly gross.

Caska and Guts, and their relationship had so much story, background and struggle in it. Even tho there were scenes which can be dubbed "fanservice" it was real, but the witch girl seems to think of it in a more serious way, making it seem like Miura can pull another thing like that, if it was for fanservice tho, that's kind of missing the point, since no doubt Schierke is not letting go of her feelings that easily in fact they are growing more intense.

Well it does look like it's becoming more like a spiritual connection, but sometimes you feel it's more than that. It doesn't make it any less disturbing. Also I noticed when Schierke dives into Guts person, she's always on his shoulders, just like Prome and Delos. They're like Guts and Schierke 2.0 lol.
Speaking of Guts and Caska,I don't see these two getting back together if and when Caska regains her sanity. There's quite a few things that stand between them, mostly their child who became Griffith's vessel. But I agree that their relationship was more fleshed out than Guts and Schierke's, or even that of another female who's in love with Guts: Farnese.

Well... I created an account for the sole fact I want to provide my opinion.

First of all, Caska chose Guts because she knew Griffith wanted total power, not because Guts was better in any way. With that said, I think Guts never has trusted anyone as fast as he did with the witch. He might be at least ten years older than her, but since she is so useful when using the armor, it does not surprise me that eventually they will become even more in sync. Guts and Schierke are following the same path as their ancestors, and they had been acquainted for at least a thousand years. Anyway, who said that love literally means the ability to touch someone? I would love to be connected spiritually to someone rather than trying to see through their bullshit. She is the one this story had been waiting for. She is useful as hell. Those two certainly are learning a lot from each other, and both can mind talk between each other. As an added note, Charlotte was 16 when she got effed by the hawk (-The set of laws you have in your homeland do not apply to a fantasy story- Nobody cries with experiments with humans in stories, right? [e.g. Akira]), so it might happen in the future (If the story goes as it should). The witch might be around thirteen-fourteen right now, and Isidro might be around fourteen-sixteen (He was offered a freebie, if you remember.) The story might progress in lapses of years, pretty much as it has, coupled with its freezing effect to relationship developments. I do not know what Miura will pull off, but I am sure that spirit bonding cannot be surpassed. No other two characters have performed something that goes beyond humanity but those two. Sex is far from something like that.Lastly, I seriously hope not to see Caska as a main character anymore. House is already full.

If I remember right, wouldn't Guts be like the first real male figure in her life who wasn't an old wizard or another child? I actually forget if she was supposed to be acquainted with the Wizards already, possibly not even since she grew up with her teacher who was an old lady. Lol I'd find all this easier to remember without the hiatuses.

Anyway, yeah. Guts is a big strong brave man, first of his kind in her life. I think it's just a little infatuation, like being in school and noticing one of the older boys/girls. Definitely nothing will ever come of it, Casca is the only woman for Guts and even if that falls through, I don't see Guts ever finding easy to move on to anybody else. With the numerous aspects of his background I think romance is a hard thing for Guts to come by. Neither Farnese nor anybody else has much of a chance imo.

Doesn't have to be about a father figure. Being young makes one very susceptible to crushing on a constantly-nearby, attractive, not-horrible adult. Being magically-synced every now and then probably doesn't help the weight of the crushing. Poor kid : /
