Well, Yuushi still loses to Marui.

Matsudaira vs Shiraishi

38-37 Base
40.5-35 Flower
42.5-35 Having Fun
39.5-38 Entaku Shot

Matsudaira wins.

Basically, Hardy, it still doesn't matter. With Sanada as S3, Shiraishi as S2, and Yuushi as S1, you win S3 and D2 and Kaoz wins S2, D1, and S1.

With that in mind, would you mind telling me how you calculated things?

lol

To some degree, while it should be simple to calculate, if you don't actually make the game, it's harder to calculate as there are some things you won't necessarily be sure about. For example, while the outcome of the match didn't change, Friss messed up one or two things in my match against Kaoz because there were a few idiosyncrasies that weren't clear.

Well, the order of activation fooled me a couple of times.

Btw, I think I never used "ecstasy" in the whole tournament, stupid Shiraishi

Yeah, well, to be honest, Shiraishi's primarily a doubles player this season. If you'd used Shiraishi with a normal partner, there would've been opportunities for Bible to negate an ability and then allow Mmm Ecstasy to activate. Truthfully though, the amount of abilities negated by Insight (Atobe) or Bible (Shiraishi) has diminished. We used to have a lot of abilities with conditional negation points, but we've really cut back on that.

But I had Shiraishi as P1 in every match, that doesn't change anything?

There are barely any abilities that would fall under the jurisdiction of Bible anyway. I'm not sure about your question though. I'd need to think about whether Bible would take precedence there.

I've just noticed that Akaya was at S2, not Matsudaira pal >.>

Oh, indeed, my mistake.

Akaya vs Shiraishi
27-37 Base
32-31 DM
34-29.5 Knuckle Serve
34-32.5 Entaku Shot (Intense Concentration -> Akaya's Mental drops at 0%)

Akaya beats Shiraishi anyway. :derp

---------- Post added at 11:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:42 PM ----------

If Kaoz had used Speed Play, it would look like this:

Akaya vs Shiraishi
27-37 Base
32-31 DM
34-29.5 Knuckle Serve
34-26.5 (Speed Play -> inflicts stamina damage and Entaku Shot negated)

Lol, nice.

The whole concept of the fan league is great, it's a pity that it requires months of work and there aren't too many active people in this forum these days.

Still, it was a great tournament (until I lost against Friss, obviously :ohaielmo ) and I should thank you, Kaoz and any other bastard that helped both of you :^_^

Now, Kuwa, avenge me :arf

Well, at most, we could only have 10 players. Next season, we could potentially have 11 or 12, but probably not.

On the plus side, barring potentially Kazuya and Irie, we will have something canon for everyone in the Camp (barring the noobs we never saw). Shuuji does have some form of Perceptive Analysis ability, as proved by the PP, so we'll have to see how that pans out. It could be Super Saiki, something superior to what Irie has, Super Insight, or something completely new.

Winner: Friss

With this, Shin Prince of Tennis Fan League II Season 1 is over, ----------Friss---------- is the winner. Congratulations.

Thanks to all participants for playing, we hope you enjoyed yourselves. If you have any comments or suggestions for future installments, please do not hesitate to let us know, either by posting here or by sending one of us a PM.
These comments could include thoughts about the character selection process, whether you had major issues with understanding abilities (and if so, which ones), how well characters were represented or whether any characters, abilities or mechanics should have been included but were not.

As you might be able to tell from the above, chances are that there will be a second season eventually. Not for a while because we want to fix and adjust several things, some of which are rather time consuming, but expect another one in a couple months.

In the meantime, I was planning on holding another tournament like the one we had last year, more details on that in the near future.

Again, thank you to everyone who played, followed the developments, or commented, and we hope to see you return for Season 2.

Damn, I miscalculated on Doubles 1, and that killed me. I thought I could win that matchup. A disappointing finish, but given how I lost three times during the regular season, I was happy just make it all the way to the end.

Congrats to Friss who played well all season long.

The season was fun, and I hope we get to do it again soon.

Unfortunately for you, it was not to be your day, Kuwa. Still, I liked your strategy of drafting players and organizing your line ups. It's far different than how I'd ever do it and in some ways, the changes that we made to this season meant that your strategy was quite entertaining.

GGs everyone.

@Hardy
All of my singles beat both Yuushi and Shiraishi. The only way you could have won was to put Mouri into singles and make sure he didn't face off against Miyako.

Decent season for me overall, unfortunately the match I lost forced me to drop out. My team worked out much better than I expected at the beginning, although I got quite lucky with the match order in that it allowed Ryoma to copy effective abilities a lot of the times. That said, PoT was a really interesting ability to play around with and I hope we'll keep it for next season.

Congrats to Friss on winning the league and KuwabaraTheMan on making it to the final. It was an entertaining event, thanks to Kaoz and FrostyMouse for making it happen and all the others who contributed in one way or another.
