It occurred to me that depending on how this round plays out, it's possible for a three way tie for third place (with all players have an equal amount of points and the same set count) to happen, which is a scenario not covered in the rules. So if it comes to that, I'm thinking of having one of the semi-finals played as round robin between those three players where the overall winner will directly advance to the finals. The second semi-finals would obviously be between 1st and 2nd place. However, if no conclusion can be reached even in the round robin (all three players have one win and one loss with the exact same set difference), I will randomly determine the winner (since we can't keep redoing those matches forever).
In case a similar situation occurs with two players tied for fourth, those two will have an extra match to determine who gets the last spot in the finals and the semi-final match-ups will be randomized like originally planned.
