It was kind of a bad year for established manga too. Everything seems to be dropping sales wise except for Kindergarten Wars. I have hopes for some of the newer series like Girl Meets Rock.

It is just unclear how well they are selling digitally, so if there were some insight into that, as I do wonder how many people read a digital manga and would buy it then on digital too vs going for a print.

Digital even a couple of thousand of digital sales is a meaningful number for these series that just get 2000 or 3000 in printed volume sales....

Seems so. It's funny how in 2019-2020 there was talk about jump+ surpassing wsj but now its clear that wont be the case when they cant produce hits as much, with only two titles in the last two years selling above 20k in new manga, while wsj has multiple.

I enjoy jump+ a lot more than wsj but its clear that j+ isnt on the same level, although the publication still is fairly strong in the industry compared to other magazines, of course.
