I see what you mean. But nothing regarding neo eclipse was ever explained. We don't know what it does other than "it's making the gate behave in weird ways" (nice going there mashima ). For all we know, normally the gate would allow you to travel only to the future. But neo eclipse allows you to travel to past as well? Or it allows creatures like dragons to pass through? IDK

If neo eclipse actually warps time as you described, then Zeref had to just use the gate in neo eclipse lol.

The neo Eclipse works like this, it doesn’t take you back in time nor forward, it remakes time, a time reset, it destroys the universe only to remake it. But regular Eclipse travels to different timelines, wether they be in the past or future.
