I think everyone expects him to lose, to setup a tiebreaker.

You know, that is how I know this author is good.

We all know we getting the 13 battles, and since now the score is 4-3 in the humans side, we have those 2 scenarios

TESLA WINS
5-3
This means out of the remaining 4 fights (not counting the last), humanity can only afford to win one.
These would make this the most "boring" route and the one the author has the most difficulty with writing compelling fights.

TESLA LOSES

4-4
Next fight is tierbreaker, and out of the next 4 fights, we can have a back and forth.

This would mean that, narrativelly, the best choice is to make Tesla lose.
Which would also means that Beel also "loses", since he looks like he wants to die.

Because the author really put some elbow grease in Tesla introduction: Its not just him, its every single fucking (famous) scientific genius in humanity! Its our very best! And when we threw our very worst (Jack) at the gods, it worked, so surely the best of humanity has to win, right? Specially since science is not about brawls, its about brains, it is the furtherst we have of our barbaric nature that makes the gods kill us, right?

Not only it would make the next fight few fights boring and predictable, it will also make it that humanity actually win 3 times in a row. I just don't think that's going to happen.

We might get a good and not boring fight, but I still think the ending of the fight is still gonna be predictable.

I would guess the author will throw a loophole to try to make the ending less predictable.

It will be interesting to see what they come up with.

That was a cool chapter. So it'll be a battle of scientists.

Can't see Tesla winning at all though. Especially when his opponent is the mysterious Beelzebub.

Maybe Beelzebub will setup his own death for something. Maybe try to evolve into something else like zerofuku. He was the one behind that after all. With some build up he could turn into a bigger threat to Ragnarok. Ragnarok itself is too linear, we could use some mixed up stuff on it ( we had Buddha switching sides and it was good to break the pace).

I do think that there will be something to break this succession of fights but IMO it'll be more because of Brunhilde's wish. There is what they said about Adamas too. Many gods aren't pleased with what is happening and are willing to discard the rules.

When I was reading, there was a second where I thought Tesla could win through intelligence against an arrogant or overly aggressive god.

That slight chance went out the window when I saw he was fighting Beelzebub
