Hmm, move some ideas around and I think this poster may have figured it out.I saw this theory and thought I’d share, this sounds so crazy
I don't think resurrection is in play. The series made it pretty clear that, once someone loses, their spirits are going into the aether/void/nothingness. Unless, of course, Brunhilde (as well as the other gods) have been lied to and that's not what happens.
I also don't think Odin is after Loki. At least, the series hasn't demonstrated that Loki is a particular thorn in Odin's side yet. If anything, he should want him on his side as he's an asset to their particular pantheon.
Buddha has plenty of reason to side with the humans without manipulation as he is technically a human who attained godhood by himself.
