So recently I went through an experience that left me with no real other place to go than to the laptop and write about it and out came this poem which was about being cut off from a loved one without a single word spoken by them.
Silence, I'm all alone,
I feel pain coursing through my bones.
Left here, wondering,
What on earth I did so wrong,
As despair hits me head on.
When did, I get so bad,
Making my loved ones so sad?
The darkness wraps around me like a snake squeezing the life out of it's prey,
So I pray someone tells me how I can stop throwing it all away,
And find more ways to live on through my days.
This silence, so serene yet so terrible,
I just hope once it's broken everything will be repairable.
I'd appreciate any comments, feedback etc. you could possible give for how I can enhance this piece further and possibly give it more impact.
