Coloring Some first coloring attempts

I wish I knew how to make the colors more alive or vibrant.=/
I'm using GIMP, but I also got Inkscape.
So any advice is of course welcome.

It's mostly because of the screentones. They make it grayish and weird. Try coloring linearts, not the original manga pages. That will makes things easier. Try working with saturation and don't be afraid of mixing colors. For that blonde hair for example you could mix yellow with a light brown. Looks more natural.

Apart from what Kun has said, as we know it's your 1st attempt we can give you consideration and keeping aside all the flaws you have done a nice job and I wish we will come to see something new and original in your next creations. You can also ask before using any color here.

It seems as if she only colored the page... Seeing I have the manga to this anime. But who is me to judge? She might even be a really good Mangaka or writer. I wonder which of you it is.

Awesome 1st attempt! I would suggest playing with light and shadows; determine where the source of light is and it'll add more depth/dimension to the piece of art
