I dont have too much to say but If you guys want the internet to stay the way it is then sign googles petition and stop sopa. I'm not someone that likes to pirate things but if I would rather have the internet be this place of freedom and creativity.

awesome! But it says they will revisit this problem and I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next... But for now lets just celebrate the fact that the internet stays Balanced!

The fact that this issue has started won't just make this easily dispatched. I only hope for the best.

Thank you for contacting me regarding H.R. 3261, the Stop Online Piracy Act. I appreciate hearing from those that I represent in Congress.

H.R. 3261 would allow the Attorney General to seek injunctions against foreign based websites that deal in counterfeit American products ranging from pirated music and fake merchandise to prescription drugs. This bill would allow the Justice Department to get a court order to shut down these sites and ban them from search engines.

Intellectual property theft costs the U.S. economy roughly $100 billion annually and results in the loss of thousands of American jobs. U.S. industries that rely on intellectual property (IP) rights contribute significantly to U.S. economic growth, employment, and trade with other countries. While I believe intellectual property theft is an issue that must be addressed, I have significant concerns that this current legislation could be too broad and far-reaching, and could have unintended consequences for American innovators. Please know , I will not support this legislation in its current form.

I believe Congress must continue to work to better protect the piracy of American products and stop those engaging in illegal activity from taking jobs and profits away from America's innovators. As we continue to debate the issue of IP theft, Congress must en sure that the laws we create protect law abiding American innovators rather than infringe upon our constitutional rights . H.R. 3261 has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee and awaits further legislative action. While I do not serve on that particular committee, I will keep your thoughts in mind.

I just wanted to post the email response I got from one of my representatives I contacted.
He's obviously still very pro-SOPA. Ughhhhhhhhhh. I doubt he even read the email I sent him. :fail
