Ok, so we know that the DK is the ruler of the demon clan and he's considered to be a god. However, it was stated in some Q&A from Nakaba's editor that the DK was the first ruler of the demon clan, meaning that the demon clan had no leader before that. This is supported by chapter 247 in which is said that the DK had to bring the vast, chaotic demon world under his reign. The point here is that the DK wasn't a god from birth, he had to become strong enough to be considered one and when he became strong enough he probably brought the DC under his reign.

The question is: how the DK became strong enough to make the Demons of the Highest Rank look like a joke? How he became so massively powerful if he wasn't a god from birth? How he looks so different compared to his sons? Let's see:

Do you see anything similar in those pictures? The thing all have in common is that all of them have the same sinister aura. The first panel posted features Monspeet and Derriere in their Indura forms and most likely the second one shows the shadows of the Induras of the Highest Ranked Demons. In the third panel, the DK has the exact same aura as the demons in their Indura form. Now, this could very well be a coincidence, but there's a high chance that the DK is in his Indura form. This would also explain why he looks so different compared to his sons, because he's in his Indura form and his sons aren't. If you see the second image, Mel and Zel in their hypothetical Indura forms resemble their Father. Additionally:

As you can see in this panel, the two demons in Indura were evolving to resist Elizabeth's light. This can tell us that the Induras have different phases in which they become more powerful.
There is also Induras of the Demon Realm that bear titles such as Ashes, Time, Resentment, Thunder, Retribution, etc. This tells us that there are a great variety of Induras and each one has probably different abilities. Those abilites can be physical (Ashes, Thunder...) or abstract (Time, Resentment, Retribution...). If the DK is in his Indura form that could also explain his great variety of abilities like Fire Manipulation, Lightning Manipulation, Time Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, etc. Finally the Indura form has been stated to be the true form of a high ranked demon and the highest level of darkness a demon can archieve, so it'd make even more sense if the DK was the only one who mastered a power like that and that's what it makes him so different compared to the other demons, since Indura is pretty much a suicide move that transforms you into a mindless beast that continues to destroy everything until dead.

To summarize, I think that the DK was a demon prodigy and the only demon that could bend Indura to his own will and master it to its full potential. The complete mastery of Indura is what probably granted the DK all those different abilites. It also explains why he looks so different compared to his sons and why is stated that Mel could probably reach his level by training (leaving aside the innate magic thing).
What do you think?
