There are a couple threads out here about music. the Mp3 request thread, the musician thread, but no simple music thread. So I'm gonna kick it off right here. Talk about your favorite artists, your favorite songs, anything about music. I'll kick it off with this little gold mine.

Ok folks, I’ve decided it’s about time we had a proper music discussion thread (for all genre's) if you like.

Note: I'll change the pic once I find a cooler one!

Purpose of the thread: This is the place where you can talk about the latest music news/gossip; you can even recommend/suggest new music to other members in here as well. Discussions on music videos and releases are always welcome here too. Everyone’s welcome to join and participate in this thread!

It would be pointless to create several separate threads that focus on individual music-related topics e.g. Music Video thread, Pop thread, Album Cover Art thread, etc. Depending on how popular and active this thread gets maybe we could transfer some of these topics into separate threads? I guess that’s the long-term plan…

Note: All concert-related discussions should be done in the concert thread.

There’s also a huge section dedicated to J-Pop & K-Pop music in the Otaku Café section; Japanese and Korean Pop Hangout. Please avoid discussing all J-Pop/K-Pop related topics in this thread.

Man that guy can really play the guitar. I love classical things wih a mordern twist to them. The thought that came to mind when listening to that was 'epic' then that made me think of the band Muse. Anyone heard of them?

Wow, I really liked his voice ^^ kinda offbeat, but soothing too.

Well Canon was made long long ago I believe. Trans-Siberian Orchestra does their own version of it. It's a song played a lot at weddings. I just never knew it would sound so amazing on electric guitar.

And I listen to Muse quite a bit. One of my friends LOVES muse.

I'm currently listening to Snow Patrol, The Kooks and Arctic Monkey. They got great songs and sounds.
Some of the songs on my regular playlist is on my multiply site (http://obi1thejedi.multiply.com/music), but most of the songs there are request that i upload for friends, so don't be surprised if you see any Backstreet Boys or Sesame Street's songs.

I just saw Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. They're a great band that likes to cover classic songs, though, with a punk twist.
