Nika the sky god was once among the gods of Skypeia, residing in the heavenly realm alongside his divine brethren. Each god - a representation of the wishes of the people. However, the gods had a strict code of non-interference with mortal affairs and other races, a principle that was tested by a faction of rebellious deities.
At the center of this celestial drama is Umi, the god of the sea, who had been sealed away due to her chaotic nature. Despite her imprisonment, Umi managed to sway a group of discontented gods to her cause, urging them to rebel against the established order and seize power for themselves.
Nika, foresaw the impending conflict and devised a plan to finally move on to the immortal plane - a place that the gods must retire to. However, at the last moment when the gods were moving, the gates was sealed and other rebel gods remained. Knowing that they couldn't directly intervene in the mortal realm, Nika proposed the creation of an immortal tree, imbued with the combined powers of the gods. This tree would bear fruit that contained their essence, ensuring that their will would endure even if they were sealed away.
Undeterred, Nika entrusted the fate of their kind to the immortal tree, planting it in a hidden corner of the mortal world. Over time, the fruits of the tree would scatter across the seas, carrying with them the potential to awaken the powers of the gods and break the seal that bound them. Hoping that a day would come when a destined "hero" would unseal the gates under the immortal tree to free the gods and punish the rebel gods who went against the code and sought power for themselves.
