What are your favorites?

And anyone got any good recommendations?

I like Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, ATB, 4 Strings, DJ Encore w/ Engelina.
Zombie Nation's Kernkraft 400 is stuck in my head as well as Darude's Feel the Beat but Im not finding anything else good from them.

His solo stuff, and the albums done with Digweed are phenomenal. I too love that Kernkraft single, especially the live mix. The thousand strong chorus is just powerful.

Sadly, I'm really bad at recognizing individual artists. The majority of electronica I listen to is mix tapes and such, so it's ~12 songs by 12 different artists.

To help continue this thread, beyond artists, is there a specific sub-genre of electronica you prefer over others? I personally listen to everything, but I LOVE trance. Hard, soft, ambient, whatever, I'm a Trancehead to the bone.

I'm really into Trip Hop (and Post), personally. I'm currently listening to Massive Attack, Portishead and Second Person.

I haven't listened to electronic music in quite a while, videogame music aside.

I mostly listened to a lot of downbeat stuff, like "Trip-Hop" and "Ambient Breakbeat." Also, I was a big fan of drum and bass. I still occasionally listen to it at places like Bassdrive.

Goldie, Fila Brazillia, Portishead, Massive Attack, Air, LTJ Bukem and Photek.

TRANCE! Yes! Trance is sooo awesome. I personally love atmosphere music like that that takes me in.

I just found Infusion from having listened to an Oakenfold remix of their song Legacy. Theyre pretty good themselves, albeit a bit unique.

Does anyone know where to find the singles by new artists? A while ago I was walking through my campus and a DJ was playing some stuff at a nearby bar and when I asked they told me that the music they got were vinyl of brand new songs from up and coming artists and the stuff sounded INCREDIBLE. Anyone know where to go to find the latest from new artists?

Favourite Djs and artist: Bob sinclair , guetta ,tocadiso, Axwell , Dirty south ,Benassi(pumpKin House),Dave spoon ,Bimbo jodnes , Armand van helden and lots moe

Paul oakenfold is a good DJ too i discovered
him in fifa 2000. or something

Hmm for me I'd gotta say I'm a huge DJ Splash fan . Other than that my techno I own is just some random songs here and there that I find I like. I guess my second favorite would be Scooter ("The Logical Song" is ill!!! ), and I'm also a fan of DJ Dean's "Ballanation".

Techno != Trance or other Electronic Styles. You wouldn't call Metal as Rock, would you?
