What crossed my mind.. each shifter lives 13 years. So we know about the 145 king, king of the wall, that lived 100 years ago. => the fist king (ymir)? Was alive 13x145+100=1985 years ago. I dont think it's a coincidence..
- I'd say not all shifters that held coordinate lived all their live until the their time was up, cumulate that over hundred of generations the total time can be off by a bit (Since the holding time cant be more than 13years, total sum will be lower than ideal sum of time over generations.)
- But wow, i admit that assuming every wielder transfer their power after 13years, plus the time of manga = 2000 is tooooooooo much a mere coincidence.
Plus, Isayama went out and gave us a direct number with 107 that just happens to fit into 2000.
Thinking about it logically, if you talk about time in the past, who would be so....direct and precise?
We have Hannes (I think it was was) in Ch. 1 do the logical thing by saying 100 hundred years ago. Or "about one hundred years ago".
The number 107 however is s precise digit. Throughout the series, nobody I remember uses such a direct approach of telling about the titans and walls. Its always 100 or about 100.
This is a human thing cause its easier to remember except if the date is something like your birthday.
But this is a historic matter. For example, if you say:
WW2 took place when?
I guarantee you that a far majority would say 1940s instead of giving a precise date of years. Few would say 78 to 72 years ago or 1939 to 1945.
Its this kind of logic. This is also why humans often round to the next 10 or 100 digit.
Its a matter of being easier to remember.
And why such a precise number is weird to be given unless important and it fits especially well into the 2000
OP agrees with my statement by saying 100 instead of 107 cause nobody remembers this pryecise digit.
I wouldnt have either but I was backtracking to find potential clues and foreshadows.
And if you would ask this another fan OUTSIDE this topic, they too would most likely say 100.
If you say "wrong, its 107" they may flip you off or nag at your autism of being too precise.
But that exactly is my point. Its natural not to be precise and forget.

If I would be an author, I call this a clever trick cause who in their right mind would remember unless you go back after it does come up?
107 - 3 makes 104
104 divided by 13 makes 8.
If we regard Frieda as having it solely for 3 years, then we get another precise number that fits into how many shifters there could have been before her!
And in year "107" was when Grisha went to the Reiss as that is when BAR smashed the walls.
Likewise, that would mean Frieda had 10 years left.
Doing the math here:
5 years passed during training.
Then we have the current timeskip of years.
And going by calendars years we have to include the time passage too.
1991 to 2000 are not really 9 years with time passing.
Just like counting from 1 - 10.
There are 10 digits cause we arent counting how much time it is until 2000 but how many years there cause 1991 has to pass first.
91, 92, 93 ,94 ,95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000.
1---2---3----4----5----6---7----8---9-----10
2000 also would end up being Friedas final year.
