I'll have to go with Tokyo Ghoul here.
I really should start reading the both of them though, as I only watched the Anime.
But well, despite this, I know the themes these two manga bring forth and as such TG wins.

Will probably vote for TG without a good campaign for Yona. I don't read the latter.

I've heard good things about TG, but I must vote for Akatsuki no Yona. It's one of the better shoujo series I've read.
If there's no campaign for it, I'll write something... maybe after I do one for my own nomination :yodawg

I'll vote for Tokyo Ghoul, since I don't read AnY.

While Tokyo Ghoul:re has become controversial since the Cochlea arc, the series as a whole - meaning including Tokyo Ghoul - is still a rather good series in my opinion. It's unfortunate to see which course Ishida took ever since the Cochlea arc, because Tokyo Ghoul has/had potential to become one of the most awesome series in my list. Character development, drama, uncertainty and a theme of two opposing force who won't or can't coexist are the biggest plus points of this series. Tokyo Ghoul did this way, way better than :re is currently doing though.

Why Tokyo Ghoul?

The Series Tokyo Ghoul came out around the year of 2013.With its different schemes in colors and characters, Tokyo Ghoul most certainly became one of the top popular Manga's.It is always at the top due to high sells.

Unlike other series, Tokyo ghoul adds characters from all backgrounds and a complete set of different personalities. Kaneki Ken for example demonstrates the life of an everyday college student but later on through his life, he becomes a notorious ghoul that happens to be feared by many.

The hype of the Manga is the next best thing that could happen since some Manga's take time to progress into a big epic fight but for Tokyo Ghoul, every page can be very interesting from fights to leaked information that you just have to discover for yourself. Tarot cards play a huge role in the Manga right now since in certain drawings of Ishida's Art, you'll discover numbers like a 7 or perhaps a 11 which can describe the character or perhaps their death?

There is good romance too between Kaneki and Touka(the Hero and Heroine).

And the MC had so much character development that he has been compared to a snake shedding his skin along with other characters who have it too.

All the currents and sub currents of human psychology is brought before us.together, the Manga can be very beautiful with Ishida and his way of putting things together so beautifully. Though we can't see the man pulling the strings v-v he is a genius at coming up with amazing characters, a great story line that is getting better every second, and outstanding art to describe every detail or the character or the scenery. Plus Ishida always have something rolled up his sleeve so every chapter is unpredictable most of the times and even though it's a horror manga, it's still full of amazing action,i think Manga like a treasure hunt, if you find specific clues then you solved a bit of the puzzle Ishida laid out for us to solve. Whenever Kaneki falls low in desperation but yet just by looking at him, we are able to bare witness from his expression all the pain he tried so long to hide as well as some other characters
Tokyo Ghoul takes place in a world quite similar to our own but with one major difference: Humanity is not at the top of the food chain. Instead, the ghouls are. Ghouls look and are capable of acting like humans though their diet consists entirely of human flesh—and coffee. (No. Really. That's not a joke.) However, while they all must eat humans to survive, they are hardly homogenous when it comes to their philosophies and society.

Some ghouls are simple hunters. They blend in and live seemingly normal lives; but when hungry, they trick hapless humans into being alone somewhere with them and then proceed to devour them.

Then there are the Gourmets—the Ghouls who have built a whole culture around eating. They fancy themselves the high society of Ghouls as evidenced by their lavish dinner parties and the sampling of various rare cuts of human meat they offer.

But the group of ghouls that comes closest to being pure evil are the binge eaters. They live for no other reason than to kill and eat—and they happily kill and eat even when they don't need food.

Watching how these groups are fleshed out (no pun intended) by getting up close and personal with their various members and seeing how ghouls who follow these different philosophies interact with each other is always fascinating.

There is also one other major group of ghouls: those who wish to live peacefully alongside humanity. These ghouls, instead of hunting, feed on the corpses of the recently dead—often in the form of suicide victims.

For one character, however, it goes beyond simply not wishing to kill to eat. Rather, Touka, the main female lead of Tokyo Ghoul, truly longs to be human with all that entails. She does her best to live a normal human life. She goes to school, has a part-time job, and even has a human best friend—who has no idea Touka is a ghoul. And later opens a Cafe. She'll even go to ridiculous extremes to be closer to the human ideal, up to and including eating massive amounts of poison (read: human food). She also did to save her and Kaneki's child in her Womb. Her whole situation is heartbreaking and at the same time, truly endearing.

College student Kaneki is the central protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul. After an accident, he unknowingly receives organs from a ghoul during a transplant operation to save his life. From that point on, he finds himself as much ghoul as human. He longs to eat human flesh but is still disgusted by the idea of cannibalism as much as any of us would be. The idea of murder likewise revolts him.

Much of the Manga is built around Kaneki’s learning about ghoul society; and the more he learns, the more he sees his unique place in the whole situation. To the humans, ghouls are nothing more than amoral beasts—born serial murderers that need to be exterminated. Not a single human seems to know about the intricacies of ghoul society with all its clashing philosophies—which makes sense. Humanity has no way to know this information. After all, the police(CCG here) are far more concerned with stopping ghouls quickly and lethally than with talking to them. And most people who encounter a ghoul are on the menu, so to speak.

Thus Kaneki is in the rare position of being a potential bridge between the two races. He is human but is living the life of a ghoul. Of course, just because he could potentially bring humans and ghouls closer together doesn't mean he is up for the challenge.

A great story no doubt you will love it.

The world is not really black and white.Everyone has some bad past which made them what they are.Everyone has complexity to their characters.

You won't be able to decide who is the monster here?Humans or Ghouls. In the end you won't know you should support which faction in this Human-Ghoul conflict.

Tokyo Ghoul gets my vote. Even though the current chapter gave me a 'rofl lel ok' moment (the TG followers prolly know what I mean XDD) it is still an enjoyable manga to read at some degree and it was also pretty decent before the whole Cochlae arc. Syx and Arjuna pretty much said the things that had to be said.

You know, I'd expect watching the bombshell that is the Tokyo Ghoul anime would encourage you to read it instead. To get an actual good experience out of it :D

Voting for my baby :blush

How to spot a pleb in one single step :sarc

At least you recognized it was awful, though :blush

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting to see some proper campaigning. Too many are just voting simply for the series they have seen or liked better right off the bat :nah

havent' voted yet here @Vandred just waiting to be corrupted
Oh, no, you've got the wrong impression, Erin. This isn't the Manga Awards, it's the Manga Wars. If @Arjuna doesn't deserve it, I'm not going to vote for TG just like that. :hmph

But corruption sounds good, now that you mention it. I'm definitely up for corruption too

You always betray Tokyo Ghoul.

Even your sadism is not loyal.

At least think of the greatness of the original Tokyo Ghoul series by your own experience.
