Tower of God Awards - Info, Rules, and Discussion Thread

We present to you the awards for...

An award event where you, the fans, nominate and decide what you think is the best in Tower of God!​

This is the thread where you can discuss general topics related to the event and give thoughts, impressions and feedback before, during and after the event.

The concept is the same as the annual Manga Awards here at MH, except for one detail: Instead of allowing only the top 5 nominations to proceed to the voting round, we will now allow every nomination. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the format and concept, here's an overview:

Award Format

The event will consist of two phases: a nomination and a voting phase, each consisting of one week, with one day break in between for administrative reasons. There will be 15 different categories decided by the staff to nominate and vote in.

Nomination phase (April 13th-26th, 2012): The community makes their nominations in the category threads. If something has already been nominated before, it's of course allowed to simply state support of that nomination to build up hype and campaign for that nomination.

Break (April 27th-28th, 2012): For administrative reasons.

Voting Phase (April 29th-May 6th, 2012): A poll is created of all the nominations, and you, the fans, have one week to decide what to vote for and convince as many as you can to support your votes to make the candidates you support turn out victorious.

Nomination Info - "How to Nominate"

Please remember, that you may nominate only one candidate in each category. However, during the nomination phase, you can change your nomination once should you think of something else.

For the nomination phase to run smoothly and to avoid situations where nominations weren't counted by accident, please state your nominations clearly. It is preferable to highlight the nominated candidate with bolded red text. Example:

I nominate <insert title/character> for <insert category> because <insert reason here>.

Voting Info - "How to Vote"

Once the nomination round is over and the polls are made, the voting round begins. Please keep in mind that a vote is final. Discuss your opinion and think it through before voting. Choose wisely, because we won't change the votes if you reconsider later on.

We hope this will be a fun event that can turn into an annual event here in Tower of God Section.

I just discover this thread today which is a bit to late. You really need to advertise your award threads more in other popular thread. We don't always look at the banners announcement carefully

Is that so.. Well, we have tried to make a forum-wide announcement, front page news entry, and leave links to it on signature (at least I do, LOL~) but seems like it is still hard to be noticed. I'm not sure why but let's do our best. Help to spread word about this too through signature if you can! ^^

I think the best is to post in the popular manhwa last chapter threads since those are the most read (even of it is off topic). Announcement are only followed by few readers unfortunately.

Unfortunately I don't think we can do that as it is completely off topic.

Signature link is probably the one we can explore the most for this. Some members might have it turned off, but I believe others would have it. With colors and such as we keep on posting on the discussion threads, we may just invite them to click on the link. ^^

Apparently, a number of members missed the announcement / frontpage news about the awards. Therefore, we have decided to extend the ending date for the Nomination Phase to April 26th, 2012.
