Ran is probably an Advanced ranker. Or close to it. So top 10% of rankers. At least thats whats hinted at by his stat card in season 1. He was an order of magnitude stronger than Quant, a normal ranker, but also an order of magnitude weaker than Yu Hansung.

These cards were ignored by SIU, as he is a member of RED, he must be a top ranker very close to becoming HR.

He got completely and utterly shat on by Yu Han Sung in the story, though. And that guy is nothing really special, considering how hard he struggled against the likes of that one forgettable mook of Yasratcha's.

Ren is nothing close to being a High Ranker.

RED could have a range of rankers from ARs to HRs. Ren could either be elite (he's rank 60 something in RED in a sea of a thousand) or just meh (he's rank 60 something out of 80 RED members). I'd guess more towards the later based on his performance across the story. An AR (or HR in the higher figures, say the 800s or 900s) would be scary early on, and not really a big deal now as we're seeing, and both would be trumped by YHS.

We also don't know that the RED members scale linearly across their own ranks. For example, there could be a bulk of AR shock troops, of which Ren might be one, and just a couple of heavy hitter HRs.

YHS has been said to be roughly ~500 rank in power, or one Yuri equivalent at the time he fought Ren.

A 500ish HR would shit on, say, a 800-ish ranker which would still be classified as a HR.

YHS has been a ranker for less than 1000 years and has the strength of a top 500, none of the DivCo were weak, but they were in a war with people extremely stronger than them.

Fair enough, we need to know more about RED, at least RenN has enough talent to join this special squad.

But that's it, talent in ToG is relative, we can go from Sachi to Yuri when we talk about it
