Hello all!
So, since Prince Tserriednich was shown to be both a Nen Genius and a Specialist I've been wondering what kind of Hatsu a man like this would create, and also why Togashi saw fit to have him learn about Nen NOW rather than have him already know of Nen and what that could potentially mean as far as the Hatsu he eventually creates.
So my current thoughts are based on his personality, his siblings who are shown to use Nen and the current state of affairs surrounding the Succession War. It seems (to me at least) that the only reason for him to be learning now from a plot perspective is that his Hatsu will be tailor made to the Succession War, and in my opinion the most powerful abilities in this situation would revolve around mass manipulation and/or mind control, as whoever has the most (and most powerful) allies on the ship has a massive advantage over the others by sheer numbers.
Having said that, being a Specialist it clearly won't be as basic as simple Manipulation/Mind Control, and that doesn't seem quite 'evil' enough for this man to me, so this is where I look into his personality.
It's no secret this guy is a total psycho, no qualms about killing innocents for his own pleasure, views everyone including his royal siblings as nothing more then 'trash' to be used and thrown away as and when he likes, has a pretty disgusting hobby of collecting rare 'body parts' (and all sorts of other morbid items I imagine) all the while maintaining his 'Superior' image. In my opinion his personality leans itself towards the whole 'mind control' thing, but as I said that's too simple and when we look at his personality and hobbies this isn't as 'evil' as we would expect. So in my mind, the only step above mind control in this sense is the controlling of dead people, Necromancy. This both suits his aims in the Succession War and suits his personality in the sense that he is a 'collector' of sorts, and his views on others as a whole as 'trash' to be used or thrown away. Also I think this has some interesting parallels with his siblings who use Nen.
Benjamin's Hatsu revolves around his men dying in servitude to him, so he can gain their abilities as his own when they die. Camilla's Hatsu revolves around her own death, and then rebirth at the cost of the killer. Morena's Hatsu requires people to kill to gain more power. All of them require some form of death or killing to be used, this may be a bit of a theme Togashi has in mind. He would fit perfectly into this theme with a power like Necromancy, reviving and using the dead trash as he sees fit.
Now however it works, being an 'infection' type 'zombie' deal or straight up reviving the dead as slaves he would have MANY bodies to use on this ship, and depending on whether he can use such an ability on powerful Nen users and possibly have them retain their abilities, it could get super scary.
So these are my lengthy thoughts, what do you guys think?
