Mini-Tutorial: Using Dual Monitors
This is a small tutorial on setting up a system for two monitors. With two monitors, you will be able to translate/transcribe faster and more efficiently. Sorry about the terrible quality of my camera.
Requirements:
-Two monitors.
-A system with two video outputs. (Either VGA or DVI)
1. Installing hardware
This is pretty straightforward. Two monitors with cables, and two connectors on the back of the unit. (See Figure 18.)

Now, you can setup the monitors side by side. (See Figure 17)

2. Display
Install the drivers that came with your monitors. Restart. Finally, check in Control Panel that the displays are setup. (See Figure 15)

3. Dual Monitor Setups
3.1 Translating
Screen space is important, because more information can be displayed. For an example, a dictionary software (such as EBWIN) can be on one screen to support a CAT Tool on the other. (See Figure 4)

Or, Manga on one screen and CAT tool on the other. (See Figure 8)

3.2 Transcription
Dual monitors are also very useful for manga transcribers. (We love you!!)
One screen can show the manga, while the other has Notepad/Word.
I hope this helps a small bit.
