Im looking to get a tv for my bedroom. What size is good for a bedroom. I was aiming at 40 inch but was worried that that is too small. Tv would be at the end of the bed.

40 inch is plenty for a bedroom( larger than I'd want though), you don't need much bigger than that imo. I have a 42" for my living room and that's big enough for me. If you can get a 36" with better specs than a 40, I'd do so but yeah, 40 is big enough for a bedroom.

Although bigger TVs are recommended to perceive all the details in high resolutions, another factor to consider is that they may tire your eyes easily and give you headaches in the long run, I agree with goldb that 40'' is more than enough.

It's really dependent upon how big your room is etc. but generally speaking a 40" for a personal space is more than enough. Go into a store, look at the various models, make sure the one you want is 1080p, and you should be good to go.

A 40" is enough, any more bigger than that and you'll suffer headaches.

That explanes the headaches. Personally, above 20"-25" is pretty good. Im not greedy when it comes to size.

50 inch is probably the biggest Id get for a bed room, although it looks small in this picture...its actually kind of big and fully illuminates my room and Im like full immersed in it on my bed.

I got a new job, so I was thinking of getting another TV.

I have that 50inch still. A 55 inch, and a 60 inch. I was thinking of 80ish.

But with PS5 and Xbox NextBox on the horizon...I want something thats future proofed, you know?

How big is the room you want to put the TV in? I think 80 might be overkill unless you're going to invite people over as well. Otherwise, a 4K TV would be your best bet, probably 65' at most? If you really want to future proof it, try for 8K, but I don't think that technology is going to be available anytime soon.

I have an old HD projector I got for $100 that displays 120 to 144+ inch screen.

The frame rate is a bit choppy for PS4/PC games and it doesn't display well unless the room is dark.

Its screen size, per dollar, statistic however is unmatched.

Never had issues with heat or noise.

I only run it @ night when its cool.

If they could improve frame rate issues and increase the average brightness it would be perfect. I don't have an expensive projector though. Mine is the cheap model people buy to get their toes wet, rather than a full commit. Can't comment on how pricier models perform.

big room?
Yes (for my house), the lounge.

Why'd you want a tv that big?
It's a good size for movies and stuff I reckon (the TV I liked had 55, 65, and 77 sizes). For a bedroom as per the OP - 40" is pretty big. Would be sweet to mount one on the ceiling over the bed.

I'd say 40" is plenty big, especially if it's just for your room.

I'm also thinking of either buying a tv or getting a projector.
