Well, there's been mention... however I'm saving that juicy stuff up for later on probably. That's if I ever get there >.< My gosh the story is a long one... I'm still finding it hard to believe how long I've been taking on just the chuunin exam!

Would be useful anyway to know what Kishimoto intends to do with the Akatsuki before actually describing them in your stories, and seems like it won't be long before we know the full story (hopefully)
