First published in 1979, this critically acclaimed Danish comic series chronicles the many stories of Norse mythology.
Personally, I have many fond memories of reading this series as a kid, and it has the sole responsibility for getting me as interested and knowledgeable in Norse mythology as I am today.
I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who is even remotely interested or familiar with the Norse mythos, as even if they take some liberties to add more flavor to the characters, the stories themselves are almost always incredibly accurate. And even if you're not, the stories are still riveting, the art is gorgeous and it's really funny at times.
Who else have read it, or maybe heard of it and is curious? I know it's been released in Scandinavia and Germany, but Wikipedia doesn't say where else. I assume it's in the usual Carlsen Comics territories. Maybe you've just seen the animated movie, and want more?
