Thought this might interest people.

There's a section for Jousei Shounan (they replaced Midoriyama in the Anime)

In Konomi's version, the only 3 characters that are the same are Hanamura Aoi (the coach), Kajimoto Takahisa (the captain...he had that L serve thing), and Wakato Hiroshi (The copycat guy). Here are their match results against Midoriyama in the manga.

Jousei Shounan vs Midoriyama

D2 Hiraoko/ Nakata 2 vs. 6 Takase/ Kitamura
D1 Sakaono/ Oshiayu 5 vs. 7 Konkawa/ Tsuta
S3 Konnuuji 6 vs. 4 Habu

As you can see Wakato didn't even play / Deep Impulse guy is nowhere to be found either. Just thought it was interesting that there was actually a section for Jousei Shounan XD All the other unseen but listed schools have their match records for the first round of finals too XD. Jousei Shounan wasn't in finals though and I assume they were only listed because they were in the anime.

I thought Kajimoto was a badass in the anime. He should make a real debut in U-17 camp.

Kajimoto is so awesome that he managed to go to the Japanese team selection camp in the anime without even playing a match.

I can imagine what the guys selecting the members to go the camp thought.

I dunno. It's weird. I didn't start reading the manga until nationals, so I had no idea what Midoriyama was but I knew about Kajimoto as company. I think this match isn't cannon in any way. To me, Midoriyama doesn't exist in the anime and Jousei doesn't exist in the manga.

They both exist, their roles were just switched.

I think Miroriyama in the manga was a bit boring...I preferred the complete plottwist of the anime, at least was funny, because it was so nosense that I really laughed with it :Momo-Inui pair (what??and the lose because of the Inui's juice!!), Golden Pair playing and Oishi with a new serve (Oishi is injured, remember?), Kaidoh defeating Sampras-Roddick and himself in the same match...
