Glad I didn't try because I would have bet on PPPPPP surviving.
Be fair noone would have expected PPPPP to get axed. It is like making prediction that Nue or Kill Blue would get axed

Btw it may be unpopular opinion but i think both of Amano's series post KHR (eidlive and Ron), likely would not have survived WSJ.
elDLIVE was a full color series and divided by Seasons, so it wouldn't even be published on Jump to begin with, but i agree it wouldn't survive, about Ron Kamonohashi, i don't know, it started very interesting and vol 1 sold 22k in a month and have kept consistent sales for all volumes, i think the manga could have survived fine for a year at least.

Since the year is ending, here are all the LCP of all the new series of this year (Since Issue 1):

Fabricant 100 by Daisuke Enoshima (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 1 - Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 40)
Tenmaku Cinema by Yūto Tsukuda & Shun Saeki (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 19 - Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 41)
Kill Blue by Tadatoshi Fujimaki (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 20 - Ongoing)

Do Retry by Jun Kirarazaka (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 23 - Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 42)
Nue's Exorcist by Kōta Kawae (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 24 - Ongoing)
Martial Master Asumi by Kawada (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 29 - Ongoing)
Ice-Head Gill by Ikuo Hachiya (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 30 - Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 50)
MamaYuyu by Yoshihiko Hayashi (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 41 - Ongoing)

KaguraBachi by Takeru Hokazono (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 42 - Ongoing)
Two on Ice by Elk Itsumo (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 43 - Ongoing)
Green Green Greens by Kento Terasaka (Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 52 - Ongoing)
The size is supposed to be this small? But anyway, MMA is the best one for me.

I think RonKamo would however, I think mystery series definitely work better when they are not done weekly, elDLive was planned to be short so I don't think it would have ever been in WSJ

I think they meant the western perception. People on twitter and reditt used to always say J+ is the future and it would surpass the magazine because of Spy Family, Dandadan, and Kaiju 8. Now everyone realizes J+ is mostly trash with a few standouts.
It's the "spaghetti technique": you throw on the wall a lot of spaghettis, hoping that some of them stay on the wall. Editors themselves confess in interviews that it's like mining for gold/gemstones. They don't know what will work, so they just put things on the market, hoping that it will get attention and sell. It's easier to do that on J+ than on WSJ (limited number of slots).

33, I like group ones. 50 for a singular series cover.

Yeah, but the narrative pushed by a lot of influencers was about how J+ was the future and going to kill Jump, but J+'s year was a disaster. The magazine arguably found more hits even with the limited roster they have.

I like RonKamo. It is great. My comment about it not surviving wsj is not a jab at its quality. I just feel that wsj is not very kind to niche series or bishonen filled series.

My fav cover is 31 and 48 hands down. I always love Gege's color art.

I cannot look at issue 14. The circumstances is too heartbreaking

it does not have Megumi for obvious reason.

Also, looking back at previous JJK anniversary LCP, the people in the cover got less and less. Previously it has Gojo Nobara Yuji Megumi. Then Yuji Megumi Yuta. Now Yuji and Yuta..... this is cruel. I wonder if next year's anniversary cover will have only 1 person remaining.... and then there are none...

being attached to any character in jjk is very painful because they will end up dead, incapacitated, disabled, offscreened...

Those series is a different thing vs RonKamo. It has their own thing to attract readers across many demographics. I rarely see detective series become a success in WSJ (not that there is much to begin with... )

I've hardly written anything here this year, but I every day read all comments, thanks all for writing them.

It's already 2023, how fast time goes by. This year we are starting with many series.

0. Hunter x Hunter - a lot of 10 chapters is ending soon, a new lot in the summer.
1. One Piece - the current arc will run for half a year, then the Elbaf arc will begin. Stable series in sales and ratings.
2. Jujutsu Kaisen - ratings are high, season 2 of the anime did not increase sales.
3. MHA - will end in the spring, with the last volumes selling out in record sales for the series.
4. Black Clover - the movie will be successful, sales will not increase, the current arc will go on all year and there is no sign of the end.
5. Yozakura - announcement of the anime at the Jump Fest, the anime will be released as 2023 in the fall, sales will rise to 60k, will not end in 2023.
6. Undead Unluck - will not end in 2023, the anime will come out very good, but sales will not increase much.
7. Mashle - will end in the summer, the anime will also be good, but will not affect sales.
8. Boku to Roboco - good year for him, he will do well, sales will increase a little bit.
9. HSF - It's hard to predict, I think it will be over by the end of the year.
11. Sakamoto - announcement of the anime, sales broke 100k and are still increasing, high ratings and lots of covers.
12. Elusive Samurai - anime announcement, sales stagnated to 50k but ratings are good and the series is not threatened.
13. Witch Watch - the anime will not be announced in 2023, but sales will still improve and the series will become more popular. There will be a promotion with some product.
14. Blue Box - anime announcement, ratings and sales are stable as in 2022.
15. PPPPPP - bold prediction announce live action, the series is still increasing sales and ratings are getting better. It doesn't end in 2023.
16. Akane - everything is great here, high ratings, sales are up to 100k, it's too early for an anime to be announced.
17. Ruri Dragon - will return to the Jump in the summer, there will be no more hiatuses, popularity will only get higher and sales will break 200k (come back please)
18. Dai Tokyo Oniyomeden - axed
19. Ginka to Ryuna - axed, soon the ratings will drop to the bottom of the ToC
20. Ichinose-ke no Taizai - there will be no high ratings in the jump because of the negative vibe, sales of the first volume will exceed 100k but the next volumes will drop in sales.
21. Angō Gakuen no Irohа - 50/50 I'll bet It will not be axed immediately, but until 50 chapters. It's too difficult for jump and I'm not sure Nisio can write an interesting story in this setting.
22. Ichigōki! Soujuuchuu - it is not possible to judge for the first chapter, but no, this is will be axed.
23. Jinzou Ningen 100 - GFC curse + redesign characters compared to the oneshot = axe

Just like last year, I'm waiting for the return of Komi Naoshi, the author duo of Soma, Usazaki Shiro, and Tite Kubo. In 2023, expect a lot of newcomers and I think there will be at least 3 successful series. It will also finally be an echi and spokon. So that' s all, let's see which one comes true.
0. Wrong, I don't know why I thought a new lot of chapters would come out so soon.
1. Wrong, again what was I thinking when I wrote this? Elbaf is obviously still a long way off.
2. True, sales didn't increase, but the anime season helped keep them from dropping.
3. Wrong
4. True, but no one could have expected the series to be moved to GIGA
5. 50/50 The announcement was and it didn't end, the rest is wrong
6. True, 100% correct.
7. Not totally true, sales a little raise
8. Not totally true, sales a little down
9. Wrong, it ended much earlier
11. Not totally true, only guessed a large number of covers.
12. True, guessed perfectly here about the 50k sales and the anime announcement
13. All in all, it's true
14. True
15. Absolutely wrong, no one could have predicted axe PPPPPP, when we made these predictions he was doing well.
16. Half true, sales were just increasing at the time and I thought they would continue, but they have peaked so far.
17. Wrong, but about 200k sales guessed, although it's actually over 250k there
18. True
19. Absolutely true
20. 50/50 1 volume did not reach 100k but the following volumes fell, I did not predict the axe, I did not guess here either.
21. 50/50 At the beginning of the year I was leaning towards axe, but also thought it might go the way of medaka, in the end while he is alive.
22. True
23. True, no chapters had come out yet at the time, but I guessed right. Fabricant 100 wasn't bad especially in the beginning.

I wanted the soma duo to come back but I'd rather they didn't, really glad there was a lot of spokon this year but jump without the ecchi :mad

Very solid ch of green green greens. The author had a Great start 1st ch with beast children so I had no doubt he would deliver the same. Also his writing in human drama & conversation is Impressive... normally in "shonen" characters talk in a "fictional" way just to fit their persona. But here they all talk like actual humans & responsible teenagers. What matter now if it can keep being interesting but I'm impressed... hope it stick, I'm rooting for this

i like that this panel could either mean she saw some talent in him or she wanted to be funny, could be both

ps: there were also many drama in beast children, but I'm always impressed how this author writes it. If this may get axed he should do an full SOL
