Top Serves

1. Volk's Whirlpool Baptism

2. Tezuka's Zero Shiki Serve

3. Ludovic's Service Ace Serve (Sorry, Does it have a name I forgot)

4. Ochi's Mach Serve

5. Tokugawa's Rainbow Serve

6. Bismarck's Hidden Kick Serve

7. Duke's Homerun Serve (Is that the name?)

8. Atobe's Ice Emperor

9. Ryoma's Twist Serve

10. Byodoin's Matryoshka of Russia (Puttung it here due to respect for Byodoin though we only see him use this in the beach)

I know I am forgetting some. Thats why I made this thread. But I am only Including Serves with proper name. To qualify it as a serve Technique.

I think the order might be controversial too. What do you think guys?

We can rank them based on how Difficult to Counter or Return it.

PS: Hope Medanore or other Spain Reps have some Serve Techniques too.

I would split the list in pure Speed serves and Spin based serves if possible or sth, or maybe have an asterisc for those specific cases. Kinda hard to compare ZSS vs Mach.

I'd also add TnK's serve and Tachyon under Mach. Warp on top of the list, probably.

I'd remove Rainbow as it's anime only.

Ludovic was kind of better as a return ace guy than a service ace spammer.

Wow, we are all high on Ochi's Mach Serve

Warp was Ochi using Mach when he unlocked his howling with Mouri vs Byo/Oni. While using it, Mach becomes Warp (a much faster version, Oni couldn’t react at all).

On top of the list though, I’d put QP’s serves with his Ultimate Aura, I think nobody as of now can produce such fast serves. Oni got aced while in TnK badly. I forgot.

So:

1. U.Aura serves of QP
2. Warp
3. Mach - Tachyon
4. Tnk Serves
5. Volk’s Wirbeltaufe
6. ZSS
7. Ice Emperor

Volks Baptism or Byodoin's Destruction are more like a shot than a serve cause as far as I know, for ex, Tezuka is unable to use ZSS during a rally. Am I right?
Based on our choices become:
Kick serve, Warp, ZSS,Tachyon, Ice Emperor, and Twist serve (I want to see new upgraded version of it, though Ryoma still 12/13 so he is lack of physical strength to make it practical, however he may combine it with allez + TNK or...)
Mares still around so I think Ochi could have the upper hand than the rest before Mares matchup. about Ochi, he might even get better during his match vs Mares.

This is according or based on how high is the possibility of service acing your opponent. And also spammability. Or in Mares case, making opponent unable to return next shot after the strong serve

So, this thread is all about #9 (former #4) Ochi of Japan.

His Mach and Warp was never seen returned so far.

Is Ochi the best server in the whole tournament?

Aside from Serving, how strong in Ochi? Is he close to Irie? Or he is closer to Ohmagari and Kimijama?

He must be!
No only he is tall which gives him advantages
Also has a strong grip that makes him use it for a quiet times.
Plus his mentality keeps him on, specially in tie breaks.
None of these players has advantages as Ochi does.
Volk is close but he is too short!
Tezuka puts lots of spin on his serve which in result decrease its speed and power.
Others are out of conversation
Nothing about Ryoga's serve
Twist is something but the user is a 12 years old
He needed to be older.
But Mares:
She added something in her shots
No power or speed or shot that looks unreasonable like Tezuka's.
Actually it is aimed for player, if you reach those shots Volk, Ochi or ... you can counter it
But this one.
This is really tough one
We have to wait and see...
