I don't think it is an understatement to say that this year has been a pretty amazing movie year. Let's recap this year with a Top 10 sponsored by WatchMojo to get some attention to your favorite movies and maybe even recommend some of them to the others.
The list can be sorted by number or in no particular order for those who can't decide even if their life depended on it like me.

My personal list includes:

Baby Driver
Spiderman Homecoming
Thor Ragnarok
Bladerunner 2049
Get Out
Star Wars Last Jedi
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Logan
Coco
IT
Dunkirk

A movie that will probably be added soon: The Disaster Artist but I haven't seen it yet.

However I do have one that stands above all

1. Logan

The only movie I've seen this year that just made me cry by being so good. probably not the best way for a first date to go Total gut punch. Terrific performances by Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen and good ol' Sir Patrick Stewart. As a fan of the Old Man Logan comics I was a bit scared at what they will do but it is a beautiful sendoff to onscreen Wolverine.

I still have a lot of my most looked-forward-to films ahead of me since the great films always come late to where I live. I'll put the ones I've got so far and update as I watch new ones.

1. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - (9,5/10)
2. The Shape of Water - (9/10)
3. Blade Runner 2049 - (9/10)
4. Get Out - (8.5/10)
5. The Death of Stalin (8,5/10)
6. I, Tonya - (8/10)
7. Baby Driver - (8/10)
8. Dunkirk - (8/10)
9. Coco - (8/10)
10. Lady Bird - (8/10)

I'm expecting this list to change majorly once I get cracking at the long to-watch list listed below, though.

Other than those, I've watched:
11. The Florida Project (8/10)
12. Call Me By Your Name (8/10)
12. Logan - (8/10)
13. Thor: Ragnarok - (8/10)
14. Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 - (8/10)
15. The Lego Batman Movie - (8/10)
16. The Big Sick - (7.5/10)
17. The Disaster Artist - (7,5/10)
18. Darkest Hour - (7.5/10)
19. Loving Vincent - (7,5/10)

Not worth being on a ranked list:
Cars 3 - (5/10)
Ghost in the Shell - (4/10)
Beauty and the Beast - (4/10)
Death Note - (2/10)

Ones I have yet to see but want to watch (roughly in order of personal hype-level):
The Last Jedi
Lucky
Mary and the Witch's Flower
Spiderman: Homecoming
Mother!
IT
Okja
Logan Lucky
Phantom Thread
Ingrid Goes West
The Breadwinner
Mudbound
Detroit
A Ghost Story
God’s Own Country

Late to the thread, but I've only now taken notice of the General Entertainment forum so you'll have to excuse me :hi

I don't think I've seen many movies last year, but those that I enjoyed the most were probably these:

- Raw (the French horror one);
- Missing You (Korean drama thriller)
- Good Time
- Blade Runner 2049
- Three Billboards[...]
- The Captain (Der Hauptmann), highly recommend this one, but I'd suggest not watching the trailer since it spoils a lot of the plot. Basically, 2 weeks before the end of WWII, a German soldier goes AWOL and is hunted down by his own brothers in arms. Then, he comes across an abandoned vehicle wherein he finds clothes that belong to a Captain-ranking official. So he puts them on, and almost immediately it's like he becomes a whole different person. It was so awesome.
