As far as I can tell while "white" in practice is hoaquin he does need to be fused with his siblings to be counted as white. The story has never elaborated on this but odds are that devouring his siblings souls would simply not have the same result as fusing with them. The shenanigans at the hell train happened because hoaquin released the spell to split into multiple regulars neither of whom counted as white. Follwing white's return to his full power I don't think merely running out of souls would cause him to lose his ranker status at least.

I got thinking about white after read some thought in other thread here's my thought:
Fase 1 (before the last clone born):
-Hoaqin meets ancient demon.
-Hoaqin made contract with ancient demon.
-The ancient demon reside inside hoaqin.
-Hoaqin got his hand the ancient demon's spell book.
-Hoaqin used soul-eater spell on the book to make himself stronger.
-Hoaqin still not become strong as strong as his father.
-Hoaqin remember about what ancient demon offer if he offer his siblings to the demon that reside inside hoaqin he will got great power.
-Hoaqin lies to his siblings.
-They fused (the truth is hoaqin offer his siblings to the demon) and become white.
-White climb and become ranker-high ranker after eat so many souls.
-White (high ranker) lost to princess of zahard and runaway to hell train, and split to 5 regulars because they aren't unstable after lost.
So white is hoaqin that got power up because he offer his siblings to ancient demon so that ancient demon own his siblings then because of that too his siblings got no conscious on when they are fused(lie the truth is hoaqin offer his siblings to demon), and hoaqin as he make contract with the demon if he offer his siblings to demon he got great power and fully control white's body.
In my conclusion on this fase white is combining hoaqin+demon (that give hoaqin white's body because demon owns hoaqin's siblings).
Fase 2 (before split/after split):
Before white (high ranker) split
-White unconsciously made one of his siblings albelda combine with many souls that he got so they become last clone.
-White split to 5 peoples as they are hoaqin's siblings, but one of them isn't his real sibling, as she (last clone) is made up entity.
-Hoaqin didn't know about her (last clone)
-Hoaqin (regular) that got devil reside in himself because of the contract that if he offer again his siblings to the demon, he can become white again if he tried offer his siblings again.
-Hoaqin offer his three sibling's soul to the demon left aside the last one, the last clone.
-So hoaqin can become white (incomplete but still regular) even just by offer the soul of his three siblings to the demon.
-Hoaqin offer the last clone to the demon and become white (complete still regular(?)).
-White becomes high ranker when the war at first wall of the nest because he and AA manage to eat the soul's rankers and high ranker on the first wall of the nest (?).
-White (high ranker) lost to baam, AA, and rak, before baam manage to absorb white, the last clone release grip white's sword that connect baam and white so baam cannot fully absorb white.
-White (hoaqin's soul) become white (vicente's soul) (regular/high ranker?)
With a note:
-The last clone can talk to white that hoaqin control.
-The last clone isn't like his other siblings that unconscious.
-the last clone can warn white about his power when they are first fused.
-The last clone can control white's body when white lost to baam, AA, and rak on nest, but she didn't become fully gain control of white's body after that, but vicente who got the control.
In my conclusion on fase 2, white's fused (a lie because the truth is he offer his siblings to the demon) different from fase 1 that hoaqin with the contract he do with demon gain superiority white is body's control.
In this fase 2 white didn't fully control his body because of his last clone why?
There is two reason why the last clone that I think she manage to weaken demon contract that if hoaqin offer his siblings again to the demon he will got a great power and full control of white's body:
1. The last clone is different from another his three siblings souls, the last clone is his sibling yet not his sibling so the demon cannot own her.
2. Even the last clone is regular she got power as strong as high ranker this too manage weaken contract to demon so she still can communicated with hoaqin who control white's body and still can control white even so hoaqin still in control when white lost to baam, AA and rak.
There I still got question:
-Why they are become childlike when they are spilt?
As we can see hoaqin manage meet vincent that isn't child, he isn't look alike vincent when he is still children.
Is that the side effect of the spell that hoaqin used so when they are split after hoaqin offer his siblings to the demon so hoaqin can become white they become childlike and regulars with one of them even she (last clone) is regular got power that similar to high ranker because she is a being that combine from many souls+albelda?
-At fase 1 hoaqin is fused with his siblings is just their soul or their soul+body? If with their body too why when they are split they become childlike? or just with their soul so when they are split that's represtation of their dismissed power but the last clone that white creates even she is regular she got power as strong as high ranker?
-How white when they are split can make childlike regular body of his siblings? I can understand if he can change himself to childlike regular body because when he offer his siblings, he become adultlike.
-How vicente got control white's body if his soul own by demon because no way he can manage contract with the demon like white do? Is the last clone manage steal the soul from the demon so the last clone can make vicente to own white's body? Or the last clone manage to overcome the demon's contract because she is powerfull so she can choose whoever own white's body?

I’m too lazy to go brush up on the lore if White split himself up for survival inside the train or if it was the Zharad’s Arie Princess doing…..We have to use deductive reasoning or ignore it; The FACT is He lost & the Princess was stronger; The TRUTH of his sealing/splitting apart I can’t remember & don’t remember if it’s even divulged but it’s not that important honestly.
Baam vs WHITE…You are misunderstanding that exchange…That is also a situational circumstance. This isn’t something that can happen with different people in the Tower. WHITE basically was trying to Kill/Eat Baam’s soul while he was alive through his spell & stabbing him in the gut…..Baam is Baam so he was doing the same thing trying to Kill/Eat White’s Soul…..WHITE seemingly would have been Eaten whole if his clone didn’t step in & give up. This resulted in Baam absorbing all of WHITE’s current souls & sharing that power with AA & Rak.
WHITE doesn’t become unstable because he loses or burns up all his souls. That is a special circumstance surrounding Baam’s power VS his Spell.
2) Because the Last Clone is different & has remained conscious within WHITE since they fused at the last Station. The Last Clone is a bug/virus in his spell. The vengeful souls formed a personality & took over the placement of Albeda (sibling) they disapprove of Hoaqin & his entirety. The Last Clone only went back to Hoaqin to form WHITE to help out the Main Characters at the last station.

White didn't exist if hoaqin didn't make white, so if white isn't hoaqin that is more nonsense than hoaqin is white, like in the current event can we say that vicente is white right now? I think not, that is vicente right? The personality and the appearance is different from hoaqin/white, because the center of white personality is always hoaqin, there isn't different personal characteristic between white and hoaqin, I think hoaqin just ditch his name when he got full control of his another siblings and change his name to white.
For analogy few people got dissociative identity disorder that they sometimes change their personality, the center of personality always one, the other personality is made by the center.
