Welcome to the next New Manga Shout Out. This weekly article introduces you to manga that are new and/or have not been scanlated yet. At a difficult time in his childhood, Hidaka Gen was saved by a friendly breakfast restaurant called "Asa Meshi Mae." His experience with that restaurant led him on the path of studying cooking. Years later, when Gen is in his twenties, he returns to "Asa Meshi Mae." The restaurant is now closed, and the owner has passed away. The owner's only daughter, Sayoko, is now a divorced single mother. Gen is determined to re-open "Asa Meshi Mae," the restaurant that has meant so much to his life!

Fudou Shinobu is a young man that is accustomed to success in all he does. Shinobu is not very good at dealing with kids, though he should be more elite than everyone around him. Luckily, his part-time high-schooler assistant, Edogawa Heiji, is there to help. This 4-koma follows the 'elite' Shinobu's humorous daily difficulties in handling his new position as a preschool teacher!

Nagareta Enishi is an eccentric, donut-loving forensic scientist at the private Chiyoda Forensic Science Laboratory. Nagareta mostly deals with civil issues and unsolved cases. His first few involve proving the truth behind an incident of public-transport groping and determining whether a 5-year-old case was a suicide or simply an accident. However, there's also a deadly mystery to be solved from Nagareta's own past...

This is what tethysdust said this week:
Smoking Gun was my favorite this week. It seemed like it was going to have a pretty good balance between mystery-of-the-chapter and a longer-running story. Boku no Suki na Sensee would be good for anyone in the mood for a book-learning != life-experience comedy. Asa Meshi Mae looks like it will take more of the heartwarming route, as Gen's work at the restaurant influences different people's lives.

Haru no Kamikaze is simply adorable. If you like little kittens and and feel-good-slice-of-life type 4koma mangas, you'd love this one.

My opinion:
Asa Meshi Mae - If you like cooking, and want a more heart warming manga, then you should check this manga out.
Boku no Suki na Sensee - If you're in the mood for a short 1 volume comedy and you want to watch a guy who isn't good with kids struggle as a preschool teacher, then this manga is for you.
Boku no Suki na Sensee - On the other hand, if you like slice of life comedies in 4koma form, then you might want to read this one instead.
Smoking Gun - Minkan Kasouken Chousain Nagareda Midori - If you like watching CSI type shows with a mystery element and an eccentric protagonist, then take a look at this manga.
