You need to understand Baam’s nature
He is a black hole he is in the tower to absorb and eat everything he don’t need to look for souls to get stronger everytime a opponent hit him that technique become his technique he can even create techniques out of his imagination (when he saved Yama’s battelship at the wall) if he wants too the thing is Baam don’t know yet he is “god” that’s why he kept chasing Rachel to find out who he is.

Baam never did something that was truly morally questionable for someone in his position.

I wouldn't exactly say that. Baam has made some morally questionable choices, like killing those slaves in the Cat Tower. Yes, his hands were forced there and he had to do it to save Jinsung, but that doesn't change the fact.

He's not bad in any way. In fact, he does certain things which make him look stupid instead (like helping Laura and her daughters).

Eh, he just did that because he felt guilty about kidnapping Laura in the first place.

A.A. is the one who used the souls of the people dying during the war to empower White. And the true bad thing about it is that he was working with White like this without telling the others.

Shibisu and Hatz knew about it, he just didn't tell Baam because he hates White to death. Considering Baam would have died if he hadn't schemed to revive him, can't really say much bad about Khun's plan there.

Power of souls is a tiny fragment compared to the power that Irregulars hold. Baam is only using the soul's power now as a stopgap because he's still weak. If he just grows naturally, he'll get power that surpasses that or rather he already has that power and just cannot use it properly yet.

I dunno, Bam has done plenty of questionable things in the name of justice. Bam barbecued thousands of souls, with the soul imbued arrow he uses at the Nest. Thousands more died and were fed to White, just so he could save JH.

Remember that the souls being fed to white at the nest was a discrete act setup by AA while making sure Bam didn't know because he wouldn't approve. While Bam has had to make tough decisions regarding his actions, unlike the other irregulars, he hasn't abused his power, nor has he toted it with an arrogant mind. To him, the power is more of a burden than a tool to conquer & oppress others. If he was truly power hungry, he'd have let Leviathan, BT & RT control his body. As opposed to Jahad & the 10, whose desire was to rule over those in the tower, Bam wants to stand with those in the tower (with preference for his friends, of course).

It wasn't misguided hate. Bam hated what White did to all those people, inclusive of his own friends on the train. Bam even apologized to those souls & informed them that they would be saving lives as part of their sacrifice. By THIS point, even with the FH+Jahad looming intrusively over him, he isn't like them because his heart is in a different place than theirs were at the same points in the tower. Theirs were primarily on either greater adventure or on themselves, as is human nature. Bam is sacrificial and has a heart toward the people, and he always had been like that.

He could've been MUCH further along on higher floors if he was the same kind of person as the GW, but when Traumerei said they (the irregulars) were "different" from anyone else in the tower, Bam chose not to agree. He reminds me of Vash the Stampede with his morals.

Burning the souls who dwell inside him isn't morally questionable. The fact that it pained him shows how soft he is.

That would explain the mind control taking action, and also the fact Traumerei didn't nothing to stop him. And even more important, he chose a place where he wouldn't be witnessed and considering the other familly heads were already suspicious of Enkiduu beforehand, it was an easy task.
