After so long it's finally airing during a decent hour. Hasn't been like this since like season 3 that was held in NA as well.

And I'm sort of the same. I paid more attention at the beginning of the summer split due to format changes, but I don't really follow it as much outside of major tournaments. But I do always make time to watch worlds when I can.

No, not really. Regardless of the region it's held in, it's always scheduled in a way that benefits Asia, since they get the most viewership there. So yeah, it starts evening for EST, afternoon for PST, but in Asia it's like mid-morning. The only people who get the short-end of the stick are EU watchers.

This is assuming people have "normal" schedules though...and we all know a lot of gamers don't lol

Like for instance, I wouldn't be surprised if the last matches of the day aren't being wrapped up until around midnight in LA depending on delays and stuff. When you compare that to last year when it was held in EU, matches started early afternoon CEST or so. The schedule is always set with Asia, and more specifically China in mind. Worlds matches are never played at some ungodly hour for East Asia, regardless of where it's being held. But this isn't the case when it comes to NA and EU. If it's in Asia, we get fucked. If it's held in NA, you guys get fucked, etc.

it's a good thing, EU and NA games start kinda early compared to asian games. i just watch those 2 regions games and go to sleep.
