Happy women's day for all MH girls!
Still applies, but add another year and then some.Fun fact: from the creation of the Hangout Thread v.1 to the closing of v.17 it took just over five years. Version 18 was created six and a half years ago and still hasn't finished.
It's no coincidence that it was around the same time the Win thread first happened.
But as I understand it in a porn is all about sex, whereas in an erotic film there is more than just sex...there is a plot/story. Granted that the stories in some erotic films are very, very bad.In fairness when I think of erotic film, I kind of instantly think of porn, fair or not.

I thought Basic Instinct was very graphic but it is an erotic film and not a porn movie....or maybe it is not how graphic it is but the amount of it.The difference between something being erotic or pornographic probably has to do with how graphic it is

So it is all about the angle of the camera? It's all down to how close the camera is during filming
Well, the focus on it maybe. But I wouldn't call a feature film that's rated R even softcore pornography really.I thought Basic Instinct was very graphic but it is an erotic film and not a porn movie....or maybe it is not how graphic it is but the amount of it.
That is my point...because I watched Basic Instinct and I didn't feel like I was watching porn...even though the sex scenes were...strong.Well, the focus on it maybe. But I wouldn't call a feature film that's rated R even softcore pornography really.
Yeah for some reason the cameramen are really bad in erotic films, I guess they can't afford elite crews? It's all down to how close the camera is during filming
Well...I think it was to do with the fact that in an erotic film, the main focus is not the sex part but in a porn movie that is exactly the main point.Yeah for some reason the cameramen are really bad in erotic films, I guess they can't afford elite crews?
I took it as a joke...actually I laughed a little after reading the bit about the camera crew. Sorry if my post sounded too serious. ^^Oh it was a bad joke, my bad '-'
Good point. Not many people watch porn for the potential story-line. However, I could be wrong here, everyone has their own unique tastes after all.
It went exactly like that and I still think an erotic film is not a porn...if not many TV shows that have had a lot of nudity and sex scenes would have to be categorized as porn.If I recall the convo went something like ---
you: I watched Basic Instinct an erotic film.
me: Oh?! Ah, you mean a porno?
you: Its not a porno.
What about softcore porn?I think it's to do with the act itself. If it is including penetration then it is porn. If it stops short of that, then it's an erotic film.
