Like I already mentioned in Most Overrated Character, I really didn't feel much when Ace died. Maybe I was just jaded because I thought that entire arc had been a bit of a mess and I was growing indifferent to everything that happened, but... all it did was make me slightly o-faced that someone died in present-day, non-flashback One Piece. And even then, I really wasn't expecting anything else.
Most of all, I didn't think that scene was very well-made. Like everything else that happened at Marineford, there was too much going on, too much of a mess.
I do admit I thought Shirohige's death was badass, though. I can see why that gets all the praise.
I'm adding The Rumbar Pirates here as well (in addition to Most Emotional Moment). That whole scene is perfection in my eyes. Even if we didn't exactly get to know these characters well, the way they all went out was just incredible.
""What's wrong? Now this is just a Quartet... Trio... Duet... Solo..!"
Adding Going Merry. I've admitted it before, and will again: I cried for a fictional boat, something only Oda could pull off. Another scene of pure beauty.
And another one I feel is going to be overlooked otherwise:
