Best manga ever

Mushishi is the closest to perfection of any manga I have read. Beautiful art, stunning writing, a story both happy and sad. Urushibara Yuki succeeds in writing modern fairy tales every bit as memorable as Hans Christian Anderson and the Brothers Grimm.

The most ambitious project of Osamu "Manga no Kamisama" Tezuka, defined by the same his "life's work." It's a beautiful fresco of human history told us through the universal symbol of immortality, the phoenix.

After I read about certain manga having some kind of a "pioneer role" for other title, I almost dared to nominate some "Beautiful Girl Warriors" - but instead I happily nominate Fairy Tail for Best Overall Manga category: It has action, different superpowers with the ability to mix and combine, fan service for all readers, comedy and a long-term story with many yet unsolved mysteries. All I need.

Lot of good manga I'd like to nominate, but I'm goona support Mushishi. Kait pretty much said it all. The athmosphere in Mushishi is everything.

I'm going to nominate Berserk. Amazing story, solid storytelling, perfect pace and incredible art. I was extremely late with reading Berserk, which is my biggest regret in terms of my "manga life". To miss out on such an epic story is simply put a huge waste. A blessing is that I was able to read a lot of chapters in one go, as well as miss out on much of the hiatus due to being late. Regardless, Berserk is one of the most, if not the most satisfying manga reads I've had.

I'm going to nominate Hunter X Hunter.

From characters to techniques, from arcs to art (Mostly, we all know how lazy Togashi is) HxH has proven to be superior to every other manga out there. Even for being a Shounen is actually quite violent and mature in some aspects, handles pretty well the emotions and reactions of the characters and above all the fights are always consistent with the rules of the world imposed in the first place.

I support Dragon Ball for the same reasons. And I also add that even if I know way better the anime than the manga, I read the manga a little and the overall quality was exceptional.
