Description & Synopsis

What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called Quirks at age four? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless? Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn't got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny...

Kinda reminds me of Onepunch Man, what with all the ranked Heroes and the strange powers that have appeared randomly.

But still, I thought it was a fun first chapter.

I hope this is not a case of good set up but bad story, I mean it's easy to get lured into this manga it's so flashy, but I fear comedy can overtake it easily, I sure hope for more fleshing out of serious themes, I mean the set up itself is kind of serious, the "belonging nowhere" character is there, now there are many ways to play him ... it is worth a shot, provided people also trust the recent Jump rankings the manga got. :XD

I hope the story does not destroy itself for trying to be overly creative or overly funny and over the top. It can turn tasteless easy.

I hope that scans will come out faster now, so that the Edited Mangas will be up-to-date with raw releases. The raws really look promosing.

The concept - superheroes - is really good and though I never liked whining characters, Midoriya is somewhat different. He reminds of Tsuna in KHR but he's less annoying. After Omagadoki Dobutsuen and Sensei no Bulge, the mangaka finally has success

I can see pretty good potential in this manga... it started with a fresh concept of everyone out there with individuality of their own and the protagonist is a whining character and is characterized pretty good I must say.. I liked the art and detailing of this manga for first chapter .... Generally I see that not much fine art mangaka use in first few chapters and once the series picks up only they get serious with it ...

I am looking forward to it.. :)

SMAASH

Midoriya 0 points but he is the true hero. He decided to save someone else instead of running away with everyone else. This has a lot of potential. This chapter had a very good pace. It wouldn't have been good to stretch this out over more than one chapter. Anyway, to those who don't read the raws. I can tell you: it'll become more interesting :-)

There is definitely a potential here... I was thinking of how the transition of protagonist will be handled... and so far so good .. :)

It is building up pretty well... I wonder when will he start controlling his power bursts ... He can't getting his limbs fractured ... All might should do something about it ..
