But oh well, this manga is awesome, too.
Seems pretty interesting.
And i really DO like the male lead

Not bad. The art is beautiful as usual, but at times it becomes too mangaish, especially Delos shots.
This whole thing about the empire is so mysterious, and those giants looks like Ganishka.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Interesting concept, seems with the demons/monsters coming out it caused humans to adapt and take on new forms. While we seem to be following a person who is still human, we are unsure if the girl has something special to her. Odds are there is, it'll be interesting to see how it progresses.

Seems the main character can use jujitsu which is pretty cool, it does make for a lot of neat looking scenes since getting those angles and feel just right is rather tricky. Have to put a heavy focus on the bodies of the people as well as placement and position of the people in the bought, if it continues down that path it will make for an interesting miniseries.

If anything comes off as Miura just wanted to be able to tell a quick story from start to finish just for something new, and maybe to even have some fun with unique character designs, we have the insect tribe, so if that keeps up we might see bird people, reptile people, plants, fish etc etc, it will make for some good images.

i think animals/bugs took humanoid forms...maybe evolved
but...the humans only evolved to deal with their climate/enviroment....

It was OK for a first chapter. I am interested by the plot with Gods, evolved humans and all but I guess it won't be developed very much since it will only be 6 chapters. Maybe he will try to end Berserk quickly and continue this.

Why would he try to end quickly a series to which he dedicated his whole life these past 20 years ? If he wanted to end it quickly to start a new series he would have done so ages ago, when he was still young and could release more than one volume per year.Besides we don't know how well Gigantomakhia will sell, not to mention that it was already planned to end after 6 chapters...
Berserk is the work of a lifetime, and I don't see it ending so quickly just so that Miura can start a new series. It makes no sense.He needs to take his time and give us the best ending possible for this masterpiece.

Hmm ok. Well I'm pretty sure there's still a long way to go before he finishes Berserk. I mean it's been years since they set out to Elfhelm and they still haven't arrived...And then there's the introduction of Falconia and the Godhand stories etc. So we're still in for a few years before he finishes it, even if he decides to take less breaks.
But yeah I guess the reason we got this new manga by Miura is because he's been thinking about it for a long time , so he wanted to get it out of the way so he can focus on Berserk.
I'm ok with him starting a new series, as long as he can work on Berserk. Kinda like Inoue Takehiko with Vagabond and Real

Well normally chapter 3 is already out in Japan, and chapter 2 isn't translated yet. Maybe it's because of the holidays.

Maybe too late for me to comment on the first chapter, but whatever. The first chapter is really nice, I like it. It is pretty tame compared to what I expected from Miura, even if he is still giving his usual vibe in this manga. Looking forward for the translation of the remaining chapters, I am tempted to spoil myself if I don't get the translation soon.

They just didn't get HQ raws, the provider they have (same as I have) never scanned the issuee chapter 2 was in, he skipped it and scanned the one where chapter 3 is.
