Yup that is how it went but no that is not what that means. You have misinterpreted events. She said it was almost noon then the following panel showed him getting up and at 114k. That was not noon. That was “almost noon.” “It all comes down to this one minute”-this was noon.

Mael with sunshine is definitely a force to acknowledge.
His near to noon (when escanor gets 114k) should be far more powerful than the one mode escanor. Even if we lowball and say he is as powerful as onemode escanor in his near to noon state then his One mode will be like One mode's One Mode.
Yes it would be freaking powerful.
In one mode mael should be a lot lot above demi god level and a bit below the god level.

Isnt he fodder without grace to a without grace mael so the same should be after sun.compared to mael with sunshine escanor with sunshine isfodder in font of him

More than that I'd argue mael is able to make use of both aspects of sun better than escanor did. In the previous chapter we saw mael use sun to obviously overpower the original demon but also to fill his body with power so as to neutralize the effects of ON. And of course, no magic will be useful against zeldris meaning he will have to fight with his strength. Escanor in turn relied mostly on his strength when fighting. Mael was skillful enough with the grace to neutralize ON without having nearly as much power as the one while in turn escanor used the one to actually overpower ON. Based on escanor's reaction he didn't even know the sun grace could be used like that.
