I enjoyed a lot Kujira its definitely one of my fave last season, but in the second part even if i kept enjoying it, theres something that seems lacking I cant find out what but something seems off, havent read the manga yet, heard its greater than the anime and even greater in its last developments, i suspect it might be something due to the adaptation. But it still one of my fave.

I endorse Dies Irae. I wanted it to be good. But it was not. Not even a little bit.

Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World

I haven’t watched a lot of new shows this season, and I’m sure there are many much worse than Kino’s Journey. Objectively, I guess it might be a decent show if you haven’t watched the older version. But let’s face it, you can’t make a remake/reboot of a series and not be compared to the original version, and this reboot just can’t hold a candle to the 2003 version - heck, it can’t even find the matches.

Which is why, even if it’s not the worst show of the season, in my eyes it’s easily the most disappointing.

I'd go a week or two before catching up on them, but unfortunately did not find them interesting enough to want to keep up episode by episode...

Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul

Heavily support this. The first season was really good and entertaining, the sequel is just a huge clusterfuck that even managed to ruin parts of Season 1. Easily the most disappointing anime last year, for me.

I also nominate Danmachi: Sword Oratoria. The original Denmachi was so good and this was so not.

lol I feel the same and support this. Though you probably can judge it better than me, because you know the source material. It had some good parts and it didn't ruin the original Danmachi or anything, but definitely was expecting a lot more from this. Kinda never managed to capture the magic of the original Danmachi. Says a lot if the best part was Bell vs Minotaur all over again Guess it didn't help that Aiz seemed like a really weak protag, even though I liked her in the original season.

Also nominating SukaSuka. I'm in the minority I feel, but there was a lot of potential and it got extremely wasted in my eyes. It all became so annoyingly predictable and cringey that I hardly felt anything when the anime wanted to make me cry...

My third vote is going to Black Clover.

That Asta voice. I don't know if they ever fixed it but it was one of the most indefensible acts of voice direction I've ever heard. If not the most.

It wasn't as good as Danmachi but that's no excuse for what the anime did to it. The books relies almost entirely on Aiz's internal monologue which the anime mindbogglingly cut almost entirely from the show. And instead made a side character, who is meant to be comically annoying, the focus of the show. It was truly incredible what they did. Just not in a good way.

Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul: Horrible, started well but became worse and worse. The awful romance damaged Nina's character, Charioce was terrible. The old cast was treated like trash, the baiting with Amira killed me. The first season was so good. So good! But this...

Danmachi: Sword Oratoria: Too much Lefiya, Ais, the real MC was treated almost like a supporting character. The spinoff is suppsoed to show more of her thoughts but her treatment reminded me of Tasuya's in the Maouka adaptation. Terrible priorities.

UQ Holder!: If I was not a manga fan, I would have probably liked that rushed adaptation more. It was decent but I expected more. The anime original ending was cheesy as fuck.
