I nominate...
Gajeel's death
When Lucy returns from that deep sleep after Acno "kill everyone" and then discovers her father is dead (End of Tenrou Arc)
When everybody points the finger to the sky when Laxus is leaving the Guild
*-* And I do support Ultear's sacrifice because I really like it too.
When I first read ToH, I remember it was sad for the way Erza was there. But because I didn't really care too much for Simon, I guess it wasn't a powerful scene for me.
Igneel's death and Laxus leaving FT though
Gone with igneel's death . A son looking for his father grom the chapter 1 only to find him in complicated moments and then his father is ripped apart. If that is not most emotional one then I don't know what is.
Voting for Igneel's death. Definetly the most emotional moment in all the series for me, which lead not only for natsu's development but an impatful finale to Tartaros as well.
Plus that was such a good fairy tail moment. It wasn't like a death but went against theme about "Nakama." Some actions are too unforgivable for even fairy tail to forgive. And Laxus had to leave his family right when he had discovered he loved his family.
This is by far the saddest scene in the series. There isn't a single death that compares to it. In short, it's one of reasons why I liked the Tartaros Arc. Simon's death wasn't that impactful mainly because he didn't have much of a role in the story. As for Laxus leaving Fairy Tail, that is probably at the bottom for me. No disrespect (seriously), but it was kind of his own doing. And the fact he came back pretty much erased all the feelings that were present at that moment.
Oh, and before I forget, the OST for Igneel's Death was one of the best I've ever heard.
