Well then everyone, here is the list of characters.
Please note that the form is:

Character Name (Power, Spin, Speed, Control, Total) Cost

The order of ability activation will be:
Feat->Formation->Effect->Aura

Furthermore some abilities have Opening or Final attached to them. Those activate right before the next stage OR right after the current one was reached.

The order of the matches will be:
S3, D2, S2, D1, S1
If a player wins before all matches are played, the remaining matches are not played.

A character wins the match if his final total is higher than his opponent's, in Doubles, the points are added up.

You get 3 points for a win, 2 points when the match is a draw and 0 points if you lose. In case of a bye, the respective player receives 3 points and a +3 to his match difference.

You need 7 characters for your team and you have a total of 160 points you can spend at max.
The characters are listed by costs.


Ryoga (18, 17, 18, 17, 70) 65

-Prince of Tennis [Feat]:
If the opponent is Echizen, Ryoga automatically loses.

-The Strongest [Effect]:
Ryoga’s Power and Control get boosted by 5 points each.
This effect cannot be copied.

-Twist Serve [Effect]:
Ryoga’s Spin is boosted by 3 and Ryoga can still activate Rising Shot.

-Rising Shot [Effect]:
If the opponent’s Power would increase, it doesn’t.


Kazuya (15, 15, 15, 15, 60) 60

-Killing Glance [Feat]:
Each of the opponent’s stats drops by 1.5.

-Intimidation [Effect]:
The opponent’s Control and Power drop by 5 points each. This effect cannot be copied.

-Quick Analysis [Feat]:
Feats, Effects and Auras that would make Irie’s points drop are negated.

-Total Control [Opening Effect]:
Unless the opponent has a Control of at least 15 he cannot use any effects or aura’s that increase his power, speed or spin. This effect cannot be copied.


Oni (15, 9, 13, 13, 50) 53

-Ogre [Feat]:
If the opponent has never seen Oni before, his Power decreases by 5.

-Power [Feat]:
Oni’s Power increases by 3.

-Black Jack Knife [Effect]:
(1) Oni’s Power gets boosted by 15. If the opponent has a Spin stat of 10 or more, this effect is negated.
(2) The opponent’s Effects are nullified.
(3) This effect cannot be copied.


Echizen (9, 11, 12, 13, 45) 50

-Prince of Tennis [Feat]:
If the opponent is Ryoga, Echizen automatically wins.

-Doubles Loser [Opening Feat]:
When playing Doubles, Echizen’s points and his Partner’s points are halved each. Furthermore, all Effects, Formations and Auras Echizen (or the team for Formations) uses are negated.

-Right-Handed [Effect]:
Echizen’s Power is boosted by 4, his control and spin drop by 3 points each.

-Samurai Drive [Effect]:
Echizen Spin is boosted by 15. This effect is negated if the opponent’s Power and Speed stats are both 20 or above. In that case, Echizen loses the match. This effect cannot be negated.

Muga no Kyouchi [Aura]:
Choose one:
(1) All of Echizen's stats are boosted by 1.5 points.
(2) Echizen can copy any one Effect of a player, whom he faced in this season.

-Pinnacle of Perfection [Aura]:
If the opponent’s total is within 7 points of Echizen’s total, Echizen automatically wins. This Effect cannot be copied. (Singels only)


Yukimura (10, 11, 13, 10, 44) 48

-Child of God [Feat]:
Yukimura’s Speed gets boosted by 8 points.

-Yips [Effect]:
All of the opponent’s Effects and Auras are negated with the exception of Pinnacle of Perfection and Pinnacle of Destruction. This Effect cannot be negated. This effect cannot be copied.


Sanada (10, 10, 10, 10, 40) 46

-The Emperor [Feat]:
Sanada’s Power gets boosted by 3 points.

-Rin [Effect]:
If the opponent uses an effect that checks on your stats (Power, Spin etc.), that effect is negated. Sanada can activate one additional Effect.

-In [Effect]:
Sanada’s stats cannot drop through Effects.

-Rai [Effect]:
Sanada’s Spin increases by 2 points, his Power increases by 3 points and his Speed increases by 2 points.

-Pinnacle of Destruction [Opening Aura]:
If the opponent’s base total is higher than Sanada’s, Sanada’s Power gets doubled.


Tezuka (8, 12, 9, 11, 40) 45
All-rounder

-My Aaaaaaaaaaarm… [Feat]:
Tezuka loses in a tie.

-Zeroshiki Drop Shot [Effect]:
(1)Tezuka’s Spin stat is boosted depending on the opponent’s playstyle. All-ronder; Aggressive Baseliner->5 points, Defensive Baseliner->7 points, Serve and Volley->3 points. (Singles only)
(2) Tezuka’s Spin is boosted by 4 points. (Doubles only)

-Tezuka Zone [Final Effect]:
(1) If the opponent’s power is 12 or lower, his spin and control stats are both halved.
(2) This effect cannot be copied perfectly by Muga no Kyouchi. In this case, if opponents strength is 8 or lower, his spin and control stats are reduced by 3.

-Pinnacle of Hard Work [Aura]:
If your opponent adds points to either his Power or Spin stat through an Effect or Aura, add twice of those points to Tezuka's Power/Spin stat.

-Pinnacle of Great Wisdom [Aura]:
The player has to choose one Effect OR Aura from every player of the opposing team. If that ability is used against Tezuka, it is negated and the opponent's highest stat drops by 8 points. If two or more stats tie as the highest stat, the dropping points are divided equally. (Singles only)


Atobe (7, 9, 9, 10, 36) 45
All-rounder

-Insight [Feat]:
The opponent’s total drops by 3 and if he would add any points through an effect, only half the points are added.

-The King [Feat]:
Atobe’s Power and Control are boosted by 2 points each.

Super Attack Style [Final Feat]:
If the opponent's final total is higher than Atobe's, all of Atobe's stats are boosted by 2 points. In doubles, this applies to both team's totals.

-Rondo towards Destruction [Final Effect]:
(1) If the opponent’s Speed is 9 or below, his Power is halved. (Singles only)
(2) If the combined Speed of both opponents is below 15, their effects are cancelled. (Doubles only)

-World of Ice [Final Effect]:
If the opponent’s total is within 10 points, their Speed and Power drop by 3 points each. This Effect cannot be copied by Muga no Kyouchi.


Renji (8, 8, 8, 10, 34) 41

-Data Tennis [Feat]:
Renji’s Control and Speed are boosted by 3 points each.

-Kamaitachi [Effect]:
Renji’s Spin gets boosted by 5. The opponent’s speed drops by 2.

- Super Rookies of East and West [Effect]:
If the opponent is Echizen, the match automatically ends in a tie.

-Prodigy [Feat]:
Fuji’s stats cannot be decreased.

-Never-ending Evolution [Feat]:
When one of Fuji’s effects got negated, the opponent’s Spin is halved. In doubles this applies to the opponent who negated Fuji’s effect.

-Houou Gaeshi [Effect]:
(1) If the opponent’s playstyle is Defensive Baseliner, his Control drops to 0. (Singles only)
(2) If at least one of the opponent’s playstyle is Defensive Baseliner, Fuji’s Spin gets boosted by 5. (Doubles only)

-Kirin Otoshi [Effect]:
(1) If the opponent’s playstyle is Offensive Baseliner, his Power drops to 0. (Singles only)
(2) If at least one opponent’s playstyle is Offensive Baseliner, Fuji’s Spin gets boosted by 5. (Doubles only)

-Hakuryuu [Effect]:
(1) If the opponent’s playstyle is Serve and Volley, his Speed drops to 0. (Singles only)
(2) If at least one opponent’s playstyle is Serve and Volley, Fuji’s Spin gets boosted by 5. (Doubles only)

-Hecatonchires no Monban [Effect]:
(1) If the opponent’s playstyle is All-Rounder, his speed, strength, and control are all reduced by 2. (Singles only)
(2) If at least one opponent’s playstyle is All-Rounder, Fuji’s speed, strength, and control gets boosted by 1. (Doubles only)
(3) This effect cannot be copied by Muga no Kyouchi.

-Hoshi Hanabi [Effect]:
This Effect cannot be used. It triggers automatically once Hecatoncheiros is negated.Fuji's Spin is doubled. This Effect can neither be copied nor can it be negated.


Yagyuu (8, 5, 9, 9, 31) 40

-The Gentleman [Feat]:
Yagyuu gets boosted by 2 point in every stat, whereas the opponent’s highest stat drops by 2.

-Losing Reputation [Feat]:
When Laser Shot is negated, Yagyuu’s Spin is boosted by 5.

-Laser Beam [Effect]:
Yagyuu’s Power is boosted by 3.

Guess Who? the 2nd [Effect]
Yagyuu copies the Effect of any player he already played or partnered with in this season. If that Effect would increase/decrease any stats, those changes apply only to 30%.

All of the opponent’s effects are negated.

-Entaku Shot [Effect]:
Shiraishi’s Spin is boosted by 5 points.

If the opponent would use a Feat or an Effect called ‘Data Tennis’, that Feat/Effect is negated. Also, Prediction's effect doesn't work against Niou.

-Guess Who? [Effect]:
When playing Doubles, Niou can copy the Effects and Auras of his partner. This effect cannot be copied.

-Illusion [Effect]:
When playing Singles, Niou has to predict his opponent as well as a copyable ability.
If the prediction is correct, the copied ability is applied at 100% and the opponent's stats drop by 2 points each. If the prediction was wrong, the copied ability is applied at 50% and all of Niou's stats drop by 1.5 points. This Effect cannot be copied nor can it be negated.


Kirihara (7, 8, 8, 7, 30) 33
Aggressive Baseliner

-Knuckle Serve [Effect]:
Each of the opponent’s stats besides Spin drops by 2.

-Muga no Kyouchi [Final Aura]:
Kirihara can copy any one Effect of a player, whom he faced that season. This Aura is negated if the opponent's total is lower than Kirihara's.

-Devil Mode [Final Aura]:
If the opponent’s total is higher than Kirihara’s, Kirihara’s Power and Speed increase by 2 points each.


Kevin (8, 7, 7, 8, 30) 32
All-rounder

-Rivals [Feat]:
When Kevin plays a first year or second year his power gets boosted by 3. (Singles only)

-Muga no Kyouchi [Aura]:
Kevin copies the effect of one player. If that effect would add points to any stat, half the points that are added instead.

-Drive A [Effect]:
Kevin’s Power is boosted 1 point. If the opponent’s playstyle is Serve and Volley or Aggressive Baseliner, Power is boosted by 4 instead.


Bunta (4, 6, 5, 10, 25) 32
Serve and Volley

-Volley Expert [Feat]:
When playing Doubles, Bunta’s Spin, Speed and Control are boosted by 3 points each.

-Rising Shot [Effect]:
If the opponent uses an effect, that effect is negated and the opponent’s Speed drops by 3 points.

-Tsunawatari [Final Effect]:
If the opponent’s Speed is 6 or below, Marui’s Spin is boosted by 3 points.


Inui (6, 4, 6, 9, 25) 30
Serve and Volley

-Data Tennis [Feat]:
Inui’s Control and Speed are boosted by 1 point each.

-Gathering Data [Opening Effect]:
When playing Doubles with a Defensive Baseliner, Inui’s, all of Inui’s stats besides Control drop by 1 point each and the opponent’s Effects are negated.

-Abandoning Data [Effect]:
Inui’s Power and Speed are boosted by 2 points each. (Singles only)

-Seigaku’s Data [Effect]:
Inui’s Control and Speed are boosted by 2 points each.

-Waterfall [Effect]:
Inui’s Power is boosted by 2 points. If Inui or his team would tie with an opponent, they win instead.


Akutsu (9, 4, 8, 6, 27) 28

-Power [Feat]:
Akutsu’s Power is boosted by 3 points.

-Flexibility [Feat]:

When playing Doubles, Jackal’s Speed is boosted by 8 points.

-Boomerang Snake [Effect]:
Jackal’s Spin is boosted by 3 points. If Jackal plays Singles and the opponent’s playstyle is Serve and Volley, Spin is boosted by 5 points instead.

-Shukuchihou [Feat]:
Kite’s Speed is boosted by 3 points.

-The Hitman [Opening Feat]:
When playing the player with base stats within 5 levels, that opponent’s Effects are negated.

Kite’s Power is boosted by 3 points. Afterwards, if Kite’s Power higher than his opponent’s, Kite wins in a tie.

-Flexible Wrist [Feat]:
Jiro’s Control and Spin are boosted by 2 points each.

-Rising Shot [Effect]:
If the opponent uses an effect, that effect is negated and the opponent’s Speed drops by 2 points.

-Slice Serve [Effect]:
Jiro’s Speed is boosted by 3 points.


Zaizen (6, 7, 6, 6, 25) 23

-Arrogance [Feat]:
When playing an opponent with lower base total, Zaizen’s Control and Power drop by 1 point each for every weaker opponent.

- Genius [Feat]:
If the opponent has an Effect, it is added to Zaizen instead of that player. If Zaizen plays doubles, he takes the effect of the opponent with the higher base total.


Kabaji (8, 3, 7, 4, 22) 23

-Simple-Minded [Feat]:
If Kabaji plays singles, he copies the Effect or Aura of whomever he plays. If he plays doubles, he copies the Effect or Aura of the opponent with the higher base total.

-Stamina [Feat]:
Kaidoh wins if he ties or the opponent’s total is within 1 point of Kaidoh’s.

-Laser Beam [Effect]:
Kaidoh’s Power is boosted by 3.

-Snake [Effect]:
Kaidoh’s Spin is boosted by 3 points.

-Laser and Snake [Effect]:
When playing Doubles, Kaidoh can activate both Laser Beam and Snake.

-Rivalry [Effect]:
Kaidoh may copy any one of Momoshiro's abilities for the match. That Effect cannot be negated.

-Devil Mode [Final Aura]:
If the opponent’s total is higher than Kaidoh’s, Kaidoh’s Power and Speed increase by 2 points each.


Momoshiro (7, 5, 5, 5, 22) 21

-Power [Feat]:
Momoshiro’s Power is boosted by 3 points.

-Insight [Feat]:

When playing against an opponent with an original total higher than Hiyoshi's, the opponent cannot lower Hiyoshi’s stats through Effects, and each of Hiyoshi’s stats is boosted by 1 point.

-Successor [Effect]:
Whenever Hiyoshi plays a 3rd year or a highschooler, his Speed and Spin are boosted by 2 points each. In doubles, this bonus is only applied once at maximum.


Oishi (2, 4, 2, 4, 12) 20
Defensive Baseliner

-Doubles Master [Feat]:
Oishi's Control and Speed stats get boosted by 1 point each. (Doubles only)

-Moon Volley [Effect]:
Oishi’s Control is boosted by 5 points.

-Oishi Territory [Formation]:
When partnered with a character that has a Speed stat of 15 or higher, Oishi's Control get's boosted by 10 points.


Shishido (3, 2, 7, 3, 15) 19
Defensive Baseliner

-Dash [Effect]:
Shishido’s Speed is boosted by 4 points and Shishido can still activate Rising Counter.

-Rising Counter [Effect]:
(1) If the opponent uses an Effect, that Effect is negated and the opponent’s Speed drops by 3 points.
(2) Shishido and his Partner cannot have their Effects negated. (Doubles only)

-Inducement Formation [Formation]:
When partnered with Ootori, if the opposing team’s total is within 10 levels of Silver Pair, Shishido and Ootori win the game.


Ootori (5, 0, 5, 4, 14) 16
Serve and Volley

-Neo Scud Serve [Effect]:
Ootori’s Power is boosted by 4 points. If Ootori or his team would tie with an opponent, they win instead.


Wakato (4, 4, 4, 7, 19) 16
All-rounder

-Change Over! [Feat]:
Wakato has to choose one player before the match, his playstyle and dominant hand change accordingly. Depending on whether the copied playstyle has an advantage/disadvantage against the opponent's playstyle the following bonus is applied:
-Advantage -> +3 to all stats
-Neutral -> +0
-Disadvantage -> -1.5 to all stats
The order of advantages is:
-Serve&Volley advantage vs Defensive Baseliner
-Defensive Baseliner advantage vs Aggressive Baseliner
-Aggressive Baseliner advantage vs Serve&Volley
-All-rounder always counts as Neutral

In Doubles, the bonuses are added up for both opponents.

-Buggy Whip Shot [Effect]:
Wakato's Spin is boosted by 3 points.


Koharu (4, 5, 5, 7, 21) 16

-Data Tennis [Final Feat]:
If an opponent’s base total is within 4 points of Koharu’s, that opponent’s Effects are negated.

-Distraction [Effect]:

-A Captain’s Pride [Opening Feat]:
If Kajimoto is lower than 1-3 levels of his opponent and his team has lost 1-2 matches it’s an automatic tie.

Kajimoto’s Power is boosted by 4 points, his Control is boosted by 2 points.


Reiji (8, 6, 4, 3, 21) 15

-Masterpiece [Feat]:
Reiji’s stats are boosted by 1 point each if Reiji is playing in singles 1, OR if his team has lost exactly two matches already.

-Mirage [Effect]:
The opponent’s Control is halved and when an Effect would add points to the opponent’s Control, that Effect is negated.

-Deep Impulse [Effect]:
Reiji’s Power is boosted by 3 points.

Kamio’s Speed is boosted by 5 points. When playing Singles, Kamio loses in a tie.

-Challenge [Final Feat]:

If Sakuno plays doubles her teammate gains 1 point to every stat. (Doubles only)


The roster contains a total of 72 characters at the moment.

Besides those basis stats and abilities, there are certain bonuses, you can aquire through Doubles, please take a look at the following:


Doubles

In Doubles, the total points from both players are added up once all effects have resolved, to result in the pair’s total points. Whichever pair has more points wins the match.

Besides some Feats, Effects and Auras working different in Doubles, there is also another type of abilities added: Formations.
There are various types of Formations, some are attached to certain characters (e.g. Oishi Territory), and others can be used by any pair when certain conditions are fulfilled.
Formations resolve after Feats and before Effects and Auras.

Following is a list of the “Standard Formations”:

-Aggressive Formation [Formation, L1]:
This Formation can only be used by a Serve and Volley player or an Aggressive Baseliner. When partnered with another Serve and Volley player or an Aggressive Baseliner, the team's total points are boosted by 5. If the match would end in a tie, this team loses instead.

-Defensive Formation [Formation, L1]:
(1) This Formation can only be used by a Defensive Baseliner. When partnered with another Defensive Baseliner or an All-rounder, the opponent with the higher base total has his Power stat halved.
(2) If not one of the opponents has a Control stat of 6 or higher, this pair’s Effects are negated. This Formation is negated if it has one character with a Speed stat of 7 or higher.

-Classic Formation [Formation, L1]:
This Formation can only be used by an All-rounder. Players in this pair cannot have their Effects negated.

-No Formation? [Formation, L2]:
This Formation can only be used by two characters that both have a total of 20 or higher. The highest stat of each character is boosted by 4 points.

-Australian Formation [Formation, L2]:
This Formation can only be used by a pair that has a support-level of 2 or higher. When playing a pair with a higher base total, all stats of both players in this pair are boosted by 2 points.

-I-Formation [Formation, L3]:
This Formation can only be used by a pair that has a support-level of 3 or higher. This pair’s Effects cannot be negated. If one of the opponents would use an Effect that would cause a player to drop in a stat, that Effect is negated.


Support

Following is a list with the bonuses provided and possible preset pairs:

Level 1:
Bonus: +2 points are added to the pair’s total, L1 Formations can be used

Preset Pairs: Kamio/Ishida; Oshitari/Gakuto; Amane/Kurobane; Kikumaru/Momoshiro; Fuji/Kawamura


Level 2:
Bonus: +4 points are added to the pair’s total, L1 and L2 Formations can be used

Preset Pairs: Kita/Nitobe; Momoshiro/Kaidoh; Koharu/Hitouji; Renji/Kirihara; Niou/Yagyuu; Kamio/Ibu; Gin/Kenya


Level 3
Bonus: +7 points are added to the pair’s total, L1, L2, L3 Formations can be used
Both players gain the Feat:

Covering [Feat]:
If the partners Effect is negated or one of his stats drop by 3 or more, the user’s Speed is boosted by 5 points.

Preset pairs: Inui/Kaidoh; Minami/Higashitaka


Level 4
Bonus: +10 points are added to the pair’s total, L1, L2, L3, L4 Formations can be used
Both players gain the Feat:

Strategy [Feat]:
The user’s highest stat is boosted by 3 points.

Preset pairs: Bunta/Jackal; Shishido/Ootori; Inui/Renji


Level 5
Bonus: +15 points are added to the pair’s total, L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 Formation can be used
Both players gain the Aura

Synchro [Aura]:
All of the user’s stats are boosted by 3 points and his stats cannot drop through Feats and Effects. This Aura is negated when being used by only one player of the pair.

Preset pairs: Oishi/Kikumaru

(Preset Pairs might be changed/added, depending on the manga.)

Now, I'll explain how character picking will work:

First of all there will be 3 rounds, whereas there will be 2 picks in the first round, 3 in the second one and the final 2 characters in round 3.

The first two picks are made from High Tier characters, in the second round are picked Mid Tier characters and Low Tier characters are chosen in the third one.
High Tier-> Ryoga - Bunta
Mid Tier-> Inui - Higashitaka
Low Tier-> Amane - Sakuno

Now, for the picking itself, everyone will send me a pm with their wishes on the designated time. Whoever sends his pm first gets the character he wants. In the case that two or more pwople want the same character, the person(s) who do not get that character have to make a new choice. Their rank in the order of sent pms will remain the same though.

Once the first rouond is completed, I will post a list of the pms order. Whoever is last on that list is allowed to choose their Mid Tier characters first and the everyone else is gonna pick in this reversed order as well. For the third round, the original order is applied.

To keep things fair, I will make my first round pick exactly 1 hour after the picking started.

Kisarazu brothers are there. The other Yamabuki pair we can...I just know nothing about them. :p

I'm for including Ann, more chicks the better. :p However, we really only wanted 1 joke character and that was more just a shot at Echizen since he "can't" lose.

Arai was in but we removed him. Horio was never considered and neither was Sasabe...if you guys really want them we can add them...but we probably shouldn't have too many joke chars...its a bit insulting to the lower tier people like Gakuto and Yuuta.

I don't think we need Arai, Sasabe or Horio. Having Richard and Kadowaki are fun enough for the jokes.

Ann can be pseudo-useful. She can be a lethal joke character.

For example, she reduces the amount of points of all fudomine members and momo to 0. That makes her useful in doubles as well. Give her a semi-high value, and you got yourself a lethal joke character.

haha, I don't know. It's up to Jyten and Chaos. I'm for it though. USEFUL joke characters are awesome.

We can make Miyuki destroy Shiten+Tezuka to make her slightly more useful, I don't know. But again, it's J and C's decision.

Miyuki destroy the whole Shiten would be too much for me. Just Tezuka and Chitose would be fine.

But as Jyten said, too much joke charas is maybe a bit insulting to Yuuta and Gakuto. :D

I don't know about more joke characters.
I thought we were fine with adding Sakuno (originally I wanted to drop her as well).

I think it would stress the whole thing a bit too much, considering that Momo beat Ann by far, so I don't think I would be too happy with it. Same with the other two.

I'll take a look at Yamabuki D2 though.


Regarding the time zones, I'll try to think of something to make it as fair as possible; to answer Jav's question, you will pick your characters by sending me a pm.

I'd love more joke and useful characters. Richard and Kadowaki could be useful if his pair has a [Feat] Pathetic Pair who could maken them useful in doubles VS a low-average pair

You know, it's kinda pointless to make characters that are not gonna be picked anyway.

We have a total of about 70 characters as for now and 8 players, so there will be 6-14 left (depending on whether we pick 7 or 8 players per team).

I just don't see any use in adding more useless joke characters at this point in time, sorry.

We have a total of about 70 characters as for now and 8 players, so there will be 6-14 left (depending on whether we pick 7 or 8 players per team).

I just don't see any use in adding more useless joke characters at this point in time, sorry.
Well, and that's that...too bad..also there is one balance issue with the joke chars, the problem is even if they were completely useless they over all cost would be so low they'd actually make the rest of your team much stronger...

4 chars at high level and 3 at low...like Sakuno, Miyuki, Ann....think Atobe's team last time only with a 4th strong member.
