I have to admit I wasn't expecting that, that was so close. :blink

Anyway, it doesn't change anything for me.

Maybe it does, who knows.

Just be like Hyotei in the Nationals and hope a popularity poll gets you in the tournament or something.

Sorry for the delay, everyone. The next round will start tomorrow.

Also, as always big thanks to everyone who participated and didn't make the cut. I hope you'll be back next season to give it another shot, it really came down to the wire this time around.

You've been there a few times now, so you should know by now.

Uhm, the round starts tomorrow, won't you rather wait until tomorrow, send your last line-up, and then get slammed by either Kaoz or me?

@Kaoz I'd like to retire from this game if possible.
Well, you can if you really want to.

If you decide to go through with it, there are three possible scenarios to consider:

Scenario 1
We treat retiring in the same way as being DQ'd in which case all matches involving Philia are void. As a result, the table would look like this:

In other words, Seakay, Hardy, Letal and I advance with Seakay taking 2nd instead of Hardy.

Scenario 2
Retiring is different from being DQ'd in which case the same four people advance, but Hardy retains his 2nd place.

Scenario 3
Philia only retires after advancing to the next round. In this case Letal wouldn't advance and I'd probably turn the finals into Seakay, Hardy and myself simply playing each other simultaneously, i.e. sending line-ups against both opponents at the same time with no Support Lv adjustments between matches.

I imagine most people would think the first two scenarios are preferable, but I'll have to think about which one's fairer. Although I guess we could also just not randomize the match-ups and say Hardy vs Seakay in one SF and Letal vs me in the other since that would work regardless of who ends up in 2nd.

In any case, if you're really sure about retiring @Philia, please confirm that again and we'll see about the rest afterwards.

My captain's got the suit covered for the play off draw. After being asked about KOing several of his opponents, he was overheard saying that "I'm going to lead the Spying Pirates to the top of the fan league! For the sake of achieving that goal, I will continue to use those methods, no matter the cost! Unless you have at least 7 Mental, you better come at me (or Echizen Ryoga) willing to die!"

@Philia - Sorry to see you go, hope everything is alright.

Didn't expect a rematch against Coach Hawk so soon - doubt I can catch him off guard with Super Tennis again.

Yeah, your D2 is pretty strong. I think that has to do a lot with Mizuki too. I think if he predicts one opponent for Doubles, that gives your team a +4 boost to their total, since each gets +1 Mental, which counts again for their Support Bonus.

Yeah, my doubles records isn't great. 50% of my wins resulted because of Kadowaki. :gwah

Idk but maybe I should have drafted differently to have a more balanced team. Byodoin and Ryoga have been carrying their crew so much.

If you and me meet in the finals - how about that brother rematch? Ryoma vs Ryoga for the championship.
