Not sure if anyone here listens to the characters songs. But, if you do, what do you enjoy listening to?

I like:
Kuranosuke Shiraishi's Go on, Tsuioku, Ashiato - All good tunes & vocals. Translated lyrics are acceptable.
Keigo Atobe's Will, Existence - Will is beautiful
Kunimitsu Tezuka's White Message (With Love Version) - Just beautiful
Kazuya Tokugawa's Survival Destiny - Same reason as Shiraishi

I haven't really heard many character songs. But I like:
Yukimura's character song Shinjitsu, Shiraishi's Tsuoiku & Nio's bluest sky.

Well I haven't really heard a lot of character songs tbh, I just know that Michiru Fukishi's songs are good enough to make him a kinda popular character in Japan (and that's a lot, considering he appears in like 10 panels and 2 anime chapters, lol)

My favourite one from PoT, from the Kanto Junior Selection Camp arc (1:17 for the song, it's actually longer but I.. I like that filler arc ).

And I know that almost everyone hates the NPoT intro (I did too) but now when I go back to watch the NPoT anime, that song has a ¨PoT is back, isn't that awesome? ¨ feeling, dunno how to explain it, lol.

NPoT OP: "Mirai no Bokura e" is an awesome song. The artist has fairly talented vocals too. He sings Pop/Ballad/Opera. He sings a lot better than all the ones in Hollywood.

@ Philia: Thanks for the welcome. I, too like Shinjitsu. I listen to it from time to time but not as often. Bluest Sky is okay. Yuki Masuda does have good vocals though.

I like 12345 Ready Go and Dear Prince (with context), both of which Hardy listed already. Also agreeing with him on the NPoT opening, kinda warmed up to it over time. If we're talking about openings from the original anime, I'd have to go with Dream Believer though.

As for character songs, Yanagi's Master Plan and Sanada's No Surrender come to mind, although I haven't listened to all that many.

Another good song: Trick, Fake, Or Truth (Original Karaoke) by Yanagi Renji and Nio Masaharu. Good tune.

I like the soundtrack in the OVA when Inui and Kaidoh starts to make a comeback against Kirihara and Yanagi, and also the bit where Echizen gets a flashback before he enters Tenimuhou...but I've yet to find those tracks yet :/

Hahaha Inui/Kaidoh comeback is the same one used for Shiraishi's comeback in Fuji VS Shiraishi. -Unreleased my friend.

The one where Ryoma gets a flashback of all his past opponents before TnK? -Unreleased my friend.

There are like 20+ Unreleased OST's I've noticed in the PoT series.

Across My Line & Brand New Heaven are my favourite openings.
Mirai no Bokura E is also pretty nice.

But Across My Line probably takes it for me.

Well, I never really listened to PoT songs apart from openings and endings. (my favourite opening is Dream Believer btw)

I've been hooked in Survival Destiny lately!! I really like character songs in general, I just feel better listening to songs with more context.

Ive actually listened to most of the character singles that came out up till 2010. I stopped really paying attention to most except the occasional atobe single after that. Theyre really hard to find so its helpful that that person on youtube is uploading everything from the first singles.

Kakumei e no prelude is actually one of my favorite openings in recent times. I didnt really like Mirai no Nokura e and the Another Story openings were good but they didnt really hook me in like this one. Another fun fact is that it sold the most of any NPot song in recent times with over 7000 copies sold in 2 weeks.

^Yeah, I can agree with that if memory serves. Although I did warm up to Mirai no Nokura e towards the end of the season, Prelude is definitely a step up. Also, that sales number isn't surprising considering it's performed by Atobe.

On another note, the new Tezuka single is pretty solid.

Yeah, this Tezuka song is really good, I even think that it's one of the best character songs, actually.
