Thinking back to what drew me to Saber in the very first place, past the obvious girl-with-sword exterior, and it I think it comes down to this:

No lack of dedication or commitment to principle. But not to the point of stubbornness, if there is a change in understanding of the situation.

Some might consider her characterization a bit old fashioned for today's more fickle tastes. Well, I'm an old fashioned kind of guy, so I'm fine with that.

There's a reason why the only anime figurines I own are of Saber. :P

Saber all the way. There is a reason why they keep making so many different incarnations of her.

I keep seeing people say she's bland, but im betting they've only really seen Saber while she's "on the job" fighting for the grail, killing people, worrying about her kingdom etc. But In her off time she's really quite cute and hilarious. She loves stuffed animals, is always hungry, is sensitive about the fact that she's a free-loader but doesnt wanna get a job and she is incredibly devoted to her man. She'd be a troublesome waifu, but an incredibly enjoyable one.

So in short, Saber is way better
She's beautiful

She's hungry

She's adorable
