The Football/Soccer Thread v3

I can’t wait to watch Barcelona vs. Juventus!

One the one hand, I would like for Barcelona to win since I’m a Messi fan, but on the other hand I would also like for Juventus to win since I feel like it is the underdog in this match and I have a soft spot for underdogs.

One thing is sure though, I’ll be a great game.

Re: The Football/Soccer Thread v3 - Part 2

I'm a fan of both teams but I'd say I want and believe Barcelona will win this game. I think even if their sometimes unstable defence, their attack is supremely superior that they will have opportunities to score. I think for Juventus to have a good chance to win this, they'll have to score first and keep Barca on the back foot.

With Barca's front 3, I find the idea of trying to stop Messi useless, because even with Neymar and Suarez you have game changers there. It'll be interesting.

I know that the chances of Juventus winning Barcelona are slim, but in soccer you never know…I mean, there were things that happened in the last world cup that no one expected them to happen.

Still, I do agree that Barca is the stronger team in this match.

Of course, I'm not ruling out a chance of Juventus winning; the simple fact they beat Real Madrid and made it this far and are also competing for a treble shows their quality.

Exactly! Most of the soccer fans thought the final would be Barcelona vs. Real Madrid. Many were surprised, myself included, when the Juventus won against Real Madrid. And yep, both teams are aiming for a treble of winning their domestic league title, domestic cup and becoming the champions of Europe.

I was never surprised tho because Madrid were weak as fuck without Modric around + Ramos in the midfield
It was clear Madrid wouldn't go far since the loss against Schalke tbh

But this game is gonna be a bit hard I reckon, Italians and finals...

Juve are evil from my point of view, so even though I don't like Barca, I'd rather see Barca win.

Also, doesn't this thread need to be renamed?

But still, I mean they had Ronaldo…so there was more than hope to believe Madrid could win the game.

I’m curious, why are Juve evil? And what team would you have liked to see in the final?

You mean Cristiano " I can't defend, can't buildup and I'm just a poacher " Ronaldo ?
Ronaldo is a great goalscorer, he's just another Inzagi at this point... At least the Ronaldo from Man Utd used to be better

Yes, I meant him. Since he won this many awards in the 2013/14 season (see below), I really thought he was going to take Real Madrid to the final game or at least help the team get there.

Individual Awards
La Liga Best Player
La Liga Best Forward
La Liga Best Individual Goal
UEFA Best Player
FIFA Ballon d'Or
Golden Shoe (shared)
La Liga Top Scorer (Pichichi)
UEFA Champions League Top-scorer
Goal.com Player Of The Year
FIFA FIFpro World XI Award
Globe Soccer Award for Best Player of the Year
Great-officer of the Order of Infante Dom Henrique

Barcelona already scored a goal and the game is just getting started.

Matchfixing.

I don't really care who would've been in the Final.

Admittedly, destiny, they were rightfully relegated to Serie B for their matchfixing, but...

I don't know if you'll win another sextuple, but...

Not the final I was expecting but glad Juventus didn't abandon the game and gave it a bit of a go. Congrats to Barca on winning, AND with the scoreline I predicted lol.

Forget predicting the scoreline. :P

All the way back in January, and it was actually in December, but I can't find the December thread, I picked Barca to win the CL.

The UEFA Champions League is over with Barca as its champion. Now a new competition has started, I’m referring to The 2015 Copa America. I know it might not be as popular as the Champions but I’m still going to watch it. In fact I’m getting ready to watch Ecuador vs. Chile.

I was wondering if anyone else was going to watch Copa America as well.

Some people, like the South Americans, such as Asky, Hardy, and Far, will watch it.
