It's forced to obey the state powers under the "vicepresident" requirements... but also has a military structure that works directly with its organization, so they may dissent orders from above within the institution. The latter allows their troops to work better for better objectives because their people after all, and almost every person must feel that their work can produce something.

So far they've proved to be very reliable and their concerns appear to be correct in many instances... why they should have greater power when an anarchist menace is assaulting the weak right now, everyday and almost every minute? I think they deserve it... after all, without police, there is no order... without order, society falls.

I personally don't think anyone should be satisfied with the militarization of police, regardless of what purpose you think it serves. Much less hoping for going further in that direction.
