Is it really a spin off? I thought it'd be a series revolving around yamichan however I see all of the characters from to love ru there, including lala. Is it a spinoff or a continuation of the past series? Also, is mayoi neko overun done with? I doubt the author is going to do 2 series lol. I also got the impression the manga was outright ******, not echi. I did not feel confortable watching those images, adding the actual nudity kinda takes something away from the humor and adds in something.. errhh.. "nasty"(not sure what the word I am looking for is) lol.

Mayoi Neko moved to Jump SQ.19 (a seasonal manga), which means only 4 chapters going to release per year.

Actually in the volumes the nudity has always been uncensored.

I guess ****** is too strong a word for just added nipples but I think my overall point was understandable.

We announced we were picking up the new To Love-Ru series but after getting our hands on the raw we noticed it was a little... excessive.

We consider ourselves primarily a Shounen group, and we're aiming to add more Seinen themed manga (we have Claymore and are adding Genshiken 2 and possibly Vinland Saga). Our expectations for TLR (that it would be censored like it was in WSJ) were off.

Don't want to sound like a stick in the mud but it's not really our style to scanlate a borderline h-manga. There are really good groups who specialize in this genre so we'll leave it to them.

I would say that understandable, To-Love-Ru has turned into a kind of soft ****** now. Not that I have big problems with that (actually it just adds nipples if I'm not mistaken ) but there are a lot of people who don't like this develeopment and will hesitate to scanlate/read it. Redhawk could do it but they are more into ecchi so I'm not sure if there's a group Editing it right now.

^I am kinda disappointed that manga stream was of roughly the same school of thought as I was. Hopefully someone will pick it up soon enough lol. Anyways, raw should be out by now....

The problem I see with the added nipples and whatnot is that the manga has mostly 15 year old girls. If I was 15 then it would be perfect however that is not the case. I could handle the echi when it was limited to jokes and no actual nudity however watching 15 year old girls (even if in 2d) like that would be extremely unconformable for me. Besides, not sure if that would count as some form of child pornography in the US in which case reading that manga would be pretty much illegal lol.

I just read first chapter of Darkness, and I think it is actually quite good. And there isn't lots of ecchi scenes as I thought (well, excessive level is higher than previous one because I think Jump SQ's target readers are little more mature than WSJ's readers).

I just read the translation, however it hardly feels like a spin off so far. It still kinda seems like a continuation of the series. Perhaps within the next few chapters the story will take an entirely new direction and leave behind earth characters (at least some of them) and take the story exclusively from yami chan's point of view.

Well, it might focus on Yami and Momo on future, rather than Lala and Haruna. Like Lala only had small role, and Haruna appeared like cameo.

Im pretty sure Rito, haruna and the others are 17, whats age of consent in japan again?

Edited Manga is out by CXC Scans. I daresay, it seems Yabuki went a bit wild with this one.

I used to look over the shoulder when i read this before....now its a necessity.

I love how mikan is in the imaginary harem....man the direction this is going in is a strange one but...

They didn't introduce Mea that well into the story line, so I expect something interesting happening with her or she might me a Haruna replacement. Yami fighting at the end reminded me of Niche from Tegami Bachi with the hair attacks. The ecchi moments are there so you just have to accept them and move on. There's still action with a mix of comedy so I'll continue to read.
