Reasons: There is a scene where Dumas chases AA, and it is obvious that he can catch him in a second.

Rak uses his spear on dumas (I still don't know which one) and hits him, I repeat, hits, doesn't hurt.

It's more of a last ditch effort to survive on Enkidu's part as Gustang almost killed him.
