That match was for me a textbook example of a team performance vs individuals. Italy were really good and it's funny that they came to this game as underdogs even though they are previous finalists. I was a bit worried seeing how their team is always pretty old but one thing that makes the difference in these tournaments is experience and team work, which they had in abundance. It helps that their defense is pretty much all Juventus, so the communication is so much easier. Their performance was similar to that of Germany's; one goal in the beginning and killer counter at the end. During the second halves, they also didn't look in any real danger.Italy looks strong. I thought Belgium was gonna win.
Belgium on the other hand, have got to look at their play; they were too narrow and Lukaku was just worthless in this match. I mean Origi came on for 15-20mins and in that time he looked more of a threat than Lukaku did for the whole match. I worry for them because they have real talented players and they can do well in major tournaments but they maybe also need another manager that can bring that discipline and proper tactics, because right now it seems there's too much freedom and not in enough strategic discipline and game plans.
But yeah, Italians are real pros; they'll be hard to beat I think....that and Belgium just made it really easy for them to defend.
