Damn, I'm gonna have to double dip on Yowamushi Pedal now. Yen Press has done the unthinkable. Thank you.

Yen Press almost never does bimonthly releases so that means that if they they did a release every 3 months, it would take 10 years to release 39 volumes. If they did a release every 4 months, it would take 13 years to get to volume 39. With one volume every 2 months, it would only take around 7 years to get to volume 39. I pray it does well.


I also hope that people buy Vinland Saga.

Book Six is coming this September, and Book Seven will be out in December, both in the 2-in-1 hardcover format fans have come to love. However, our license only extends to the end of Book Seven, so for us to be able to finish the series we’ll need fans to pick up these two books!

Subject matter may be a reason, but intended audience has nothing to do with it. It isn't lewd and isn't as gory compared to other seinen series that have been licensed, like Gantz or Berserk.

From all series announced by Yen Press, the unique I will think of buying will be Gekkan Shōjo Nozaki-kun. People talk pretty well about it and I even read some pages in Japanese... I'm gonna read a couple of chapters and decide...

7th volume of Vinland Saga was released here in Brazil last month and it seems it is doing pretty well. I don't know what american readers are thinking...

Ah I see, so basically nothing. I love Yen Press stepping up big time and licensing Yowamushi Pedal. They said it was sports, they said it was too long. Thank you Yen Press, hope it is a success for them.

Yen Press is the most awesome publisher I've ever seen... They bet high with novels and now they bet high with sports manga. I hope it opens up the way to Haikyuu in the future... I would like to see Yen Press publishing Haikyuu... VIZ is too orthodox to risk so much... It is possible since some mangas from Shueisha were released by other publishers in the past...

What difference is there between the Ninja Slayer you licensed and the Ninja Slayer that Kodansha just announced?

BUt I guess the same author ( novel series)? I wonder how many people will get confused by that and accidently buy the wrong one. So, does one of the manga adaptations have a direct relation to the upcoming anime?

Meh, so many series and nothing I feel like getting. Maybe if Kerberos weren't digital-only and Devil Survivor weren't Kodansha... oh well.

They both adapt different parts of the LNs, so the anime could have stuff from either one.
